I agree - superman is a waste of animation - and paper.

You guys have never even seen the thundercats show, haven't you? tongue.gif

And I mean the original one; I don't know if there is a remake or something where those two characters (WillyKit and WillyKat) have not appeared yet, but in the original one they were part of the team from the beggining of the series.

EDIT: And they always used those boards. And Superman has already died.

Blasphemy!

I say death to Wolverine. He's extremely over-rated and because of him the X-Men movies are basically Wolverine movies instead of being ensemble pieces about the X-Men as a whole.

Yeah, I said it. Now come and get me.

I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an obi-wan to go.

I wouldn't go as far as killing Wolverine, but I would put him back on his place. Right now you can't read a Marvel comic without bumping into his hairy face like, 3 times per page.

HE'S EVERYWHERE!

Scott summers is the biggest pussy to ever grace a comic book. He’s the epitome of emasculated superheroes - he wears a yellow thong for god sakes - on the outside of his frigging leotard.

Havok was pretty cool - I used to really like storm.. until hally massacred her in the movies - I just cant look at her the same way… I felt pretty alright about the casting… except for her… weren’t there any strong black females out there who could have played that roll - wasn’t storm supposed to be from some African tribe or something… and what was with that ridiculous accent in the first movie?

Amen. But Bryan Singer's done a decent job of trashing most of the cast via his movies. Particularly in the second where he chose to forgo any depth in favour of special effects (I'm not denying that they weren't good, just overdone). Cyclops got transformed from the natural leader into a whiney pansy.

I blame it on a badly thought out box office attempt to compete with the matrix sequels.

I want to go back to the films of the 80's, where plots were simple, and explosions happened regularly....

Leaving out Beast and Gambit was the biggest mistake. They made the X-Men. I'm rather worried though that the new movie will ruin them.
The Green Knight, SimeSublime the Puffinesque, liker of chips and hunter of gnomes.

The first movie was a good start. A little shakey in places admittedly, but overall it at least had some depth and character to it which separated it from past attempts at super hero flicks. Placing wolverine as the central character may not have been to everyones taste, but it did give the movie agood starting point for people who didn't read the comics.

The second movie on the other hand decided that audiences are confused by dialogue, prefer 2 dimensional characters, and overblow special effects. Merrily tossing one of the best things about the comic book, and the first movie asside: an underlying message.

Spiderman 2 went the same way.

In defence of Gambits non-appearance. Having another central character would have cluttered things a bit, particularly when you consider the Rogue relationship, and the way his personality bounces off the other members. He'd have either had to be the focus (wolverine), or the sarcy comic relief (wolverine again).

Plus they'd have needed more bad guys to even things out.

The movies suffer from excess Wolverine. You'd think the whole world was made up of Wolverine fans, but I'm sick and tired of the guy.
