So let's take it for granted that Shakespeare was little more than a frontman for a cadre of others. Who were they, why were they and most importantly of all, does this lessen the value of the work?

I don't know, and without any source citing or anything, the entire position is absurd.

Let's take it that I am a frontman for three ducks in a Slade suit. Who are these ducks, and how to they work together to form this alterego, and does this make me any less of a forum member?

I'd say that Shakey was real. And if he wasn't, so what? He wasn't Jesus or anything.
And we want to be free to ride our machines without being hassled by the man! And we want to get loaded!

Bah, talk to my Engrish teacher and you'd think he was. Although, his making of 36 plays in his 20 years of working does seem to spark this presumption.
