For those of you who don't know, Winter-een-mas was invented by Tim Buckley of CTRL-ALT-DEL (He's fond of hyphens that one is!) It's a celebration of video games, drinking, and insanity, all things I'm very fond of. Now I won't be able to properly celebrate Winter-een-mas with all my friends gone, but I would like to devote the last week of January (which constitutes said holiday) to articles regarding video games, video game movies, and those who play video games. It is a way for those of you who have not yet been executed for failing at the Christian Baiting Mas articles to redeem yourselves. Some bad video game movies you guys could review include:

Street fighter, street fighter 2
Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2
Mazes and Monsters (starring a young and talentless Tom Hanks)

I'm pretty sure either me or Blake will review Nintendogs for the DS. But you can talk about things that don't suck as well. It's a very positive holiday, after all.

Since its comedy, I suppose that I can do a review of Zoo Tycoon, a game that looks good when you start but is as thin as an anorexic.

Remind me when Wintereenmas is again, as I might have Street Fighter 2 up in Hull, but you'd have to wait for January before I can get to it again...

holy crack that brings our total articles to 5 now, this is going really well, and it'll be nifty to have an article for each day of Wintereenmas. It's odd that I ask for Christmas articles and everyone shrugs, but when I ask for articles for a completely made up holiday everyone jumps on it. It's probably my mind control ray starting to work. Anyhow...

Wintereenmas started because Ethan of CTRL+ALT+DEL hates winter, and therefore decided that all of winter should be a holiday devoted to him and he'd be its king. It took off along with the comic and became an actual celebrated holiday not unlike Festivus of Seinfeld fame.

The tenents of Wintereenmas are simple. Each of the seven days of the holiday week is devoted to a different genre of game, rts, rpg, fps, sports, action, flying, racing. I think that's all of them but I might be wrong. You're encouraged to play games and enjoy them during Wintereenmas and also to send email to video game companies thanking them for their products. Reading CTRL+ALT+DEL is a good way to celebrate too.

Wintereenmas paraphernalia includes a crown, a cape, and a sceptre made of a stick and a game controller, preferably x box. Beercola may be involved as well since it came out of the comics. For more check out www.ctrlaltdel-online.com or www.wintereenmas.com .
