Blackwolf, you totally rule.

Are you considering to have an apprentice? smile.gif

Not entirely, but there may be a time when I can. There was, alas, one time when I had an apprentice that I sadly had to foreswear. Torch, she called herself. She was from Des Moines, Iowa. I knew it not at the time, but she was doing drugs in her Mundane life, and was rather violent for a woman.... When it became clear that I could not control her alone, I was forced to have someone step in on my behalf who accoridngly summon'd ye cops, who in turn busted her and her brother, whom I found fighting with one another on her last day as a visitor to the hovel. (Her brother was visiting from Des Moines, you see; 'twas from him that I learned her dark past.)

The moral here, SithAvenger, is simply this: the apprentice ye seek out may one day destroy you. Just ask Leonardo da Vinci. (As for Donald Trump, methinks you know where I stand re that expletive deleted show.)

Why can't you post there?  Are you getting an error message?  Everyone should be allowed to post there.

And what's wrong with your table manners?  Maybe those fools just weren't ready for you.

I fear that the last few times, I have indeed been getting more than a few error messages, Chefelf. A lot of forums are, at times, often difficult, if not entirely impossible, to master; but there are other forums that are, by and large, a maze of sorts.

As for Matthew Thomas, you may be right: maybe Ohioans aren't exactly ready to deal with having lunch with me!

Briefly, re the Cleveland Orchestra: Master Richard's, and my, obsession with that storied ensemble stems from the fact that one of their violinists, Leonard Samuels by name, was their resident Merlin in one sense. That is to say, he had a very huge beard. He died of a heart attack about 10 years ago, just one week before he was scheduled to retire from the Cleveland after 38 faithful years of service. The lad and I still miss dear Leonard to this day......

Oh damn. I forgot about the contest. I guess I'll hack something together when I get home about robots and magicians.

Maybe Ohio in general is just not ready for you, Blackwolf.

As for the Star Wars Forums, keep trying if you seek Star Wars discussion. May have been a temporary forum error: http://www.chefelf.c...php?showforum=4

It should be accessible by all forum members. :-)

Hey look on the bright side, Ohio may think you have bad table manners, but China thinks I'm a subversive and a danger to their one party rule. I think you're getting off kind of light if it's just one state that has problems with you. And let's face it, Ohio isn't even a very good state, excepting said Cleveland Orchestra, I'm sure.

Say, what if New York got a new wizard? Would there be wizardly duels?

Not a bloomin' chance, Otal! The High Istari, my seven Wizardly superiors, wanted me here in New York --- and, by Merlin's beard, that's exactly how it's going to stay! As for your idea of Wizards' duels, such a duel would have to determine whether or not the challenger could commit to defend New Yorkers' imaginations 24/7!

Not that's not an easy task to commit to, is it? Well, there you go. Now, if you'll excuse me, there's a certain Insult Comic Dog I have to go annoy. Yes, tonight's the night of me Town Hall gig thingie w/the fresh hound! If you can't be there, my word, thou knowest not what ye be missing, dude! Pray, be ye thither!

Well, the Town Hall gig was quite an adventure --- even I was, for a while, a tad invisible. That is to say, I didn't make it on stage until late into the program; indeed, I was accompanied by two lads who were willing to dress up as Darth Vader and an Imperial Stormtrooper (Triumph, in his infinite wisdom, saved me for last, knowing I'd get the biggest cheers --- which, of course, I did!)

Anyway, Andy Blitz, Brian Kiley, Brian McCann and Demetri Martin were Triumph's principal guests; also joining us were Fred Armisen (impersonating Tony Danza; Horatio Sanz (reprising his role of "Stinky Faye" from our original Bowery Ballroom performance); Doug Dale; Moby; and journalists Neil Rosen, John Podhoretz and David Corn!

As in my most recent renditions of the Blackwolf song from Come Poop w/Me, I was, I admit, a little thrown off in the ol' rhythm department. But I nonetheless pulled it off. We wrapped up with an ensemble performance of "Together in Pooping," the raunchy We Are the World-esque power ballad that now concludes Triumph's performances henceforth; I hope, despite the fact that I don't actually like the song itself, that I get a chance to be part of that ensemble again when the fresh hound has another New York gig. For now, however, Vegas is in Triumph's future; were I to go, I would only do so for the purpose of greeting my friends at the Excalibur Hotel-Casino, where one may find the famous Tournament of Kings Jousting Dinner Show, hosted by our Exated Father of Mages, Merlin himself! (Cool, huh?)

Well, if you have no plans during November 17th through the 19th, head for the Penn Plaza Pavilion -- where Michael Carbonero is presenting his National Big Apple Comic Book, Art and Toy Show! Carrie Fisher will be there; as will Matthew Lewis, Devon Murray and Jamie Waylett (they of course will be pushing Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire); Veronica Taylor, the voice of Pokemon's Ash Ketchum; former Monkee Peter Tork ---- and a whole lot more!

I think I better post this before I fall flat on me face! Do check it all out, dear Chefelf!
