Some horror themed movies I like watching around this time of the year include "Evil Dead 2", "The Fly 1986", "The Fog", "The Thing" and, although not technically a horror film, "Hercules In The Haunted World". How about the rest of you?

Can't beat the Evil Dead's.

The tree-rape scene is in my top 3 most freaking-out scenes ever.

Tree rape scene -that is indeed a freaky scene. It was actually banned in some countries.

One of my favorite freak out scenes is when Geena Davis rips off Jeff Goldblum's jaw, thus beginning his final metamorphisis, in The Fly.

Can't top the climax of The Wicker Man though. Scared the living piss out of me when I first saw it.

If I ever saw Christopher Lee in the street, you wouldn't see me for dust.

I suppose that I'll do Evil Dead 2, The Thing, and maybe try to get Session 9 again.

Edit: But this Halloween, I'm just sitting outside my house playing Coheed and Cambria fairly loud, throwing candy at little kids. (And maybe I'll take a half hour to go get some munchies)

I think the Fly 1986 is more like a drama

Personally, I have to say 13 ghosts, and Hollow man. That being because they are the only horror movies I have actually seen. And hollow man only barely.

The most terrifying horror film I ever saw was STEPMOM, with Julia Roberts. Yikes.

I concur. We saw it in Life Managment. Midgets would've made it better.

I saw Dawn of the Dead the other night. It was super-excellent.

I think the last movie that really freaked me out, but I'm not necessarily a fan of, was House of 1000 Corpses. I remember watching that when it came on Pay Per View and going into a state of "What the fuck did I just watch? Do I want to see if again? Hell no! That was freaky as hell!" shock for a few days.

Other than that, I am a Freddy Fangirl. Although, at this point I think my fandom isn't so much connected to the quality of the movies as it is the character and basic concept of Freddy Krueger.

I mean, come on, that guy is freaking cool.
Check out my crappy drawings!

Yeah, Freddy is so awesome. Unfortunantly, his movies kept getting worse and worse.
Sorry, you won't be seeing a smartass sig here. Try with the next poster.

No, I like more the third part than the second part of Freddy Krueger
