I know you can create your own character, and I think Capcom is using horrible marketing by having it only for the PS2. Surely, whatever money that Sony is paying Capcom to keep it exclusive will be more than doubled on the sales for all of the pissed off SC fans that are irritated that it won't be multiplatform. Especially with the RPG-esque character creation system.

Actually, it's offensive to see a series with such fantastic graphics on the horrible PS2 graphics system at all. It's so inferior. The franchise deserves more. Even if they stuck it on XBox, and not the GameCube, I'd feel better.

Yoshimitsu is funny to play as, but he's kind of a joke. I'm willing to back that claim up in a duel. biggrin.gif And any game without a character with an Electric Hump or Do the Worm to Escape attack is slightly less of a game. I'm going to miss playing Nightmare if it goes multiplatform (as it should).

I loved Soul Caliber II, and had it for Xbox. I think that it's such a joke the game isn't going to be multiplatformed.

Honestly, I don't know what people see in the PS2. Most of the games for it are multiplatform anyway. In my opinion the games only for it just were not as fun as what I could get for the Xbox. Since I'm really not a fan of sports and racing games, the only other plus was a good selection of RPGs. Then Kotor I and II came out, so who really cares (Trying really hard, you can put in 50 hours completing everything).
Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.

Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

My previous post does not mean that I am above playing the PS2 or 3, just that I wouldn't buy it.

Same here. The only other one that comes close, in my opinion, is the original, unadulterated Street Fighter Two. No stupid Super Turbo Alpha Cum Laude de Cigarette Street Fighter games... ><

A high five to that Slade. I'm partial to MK 2 myself.

The best thing is to own one system and have friends and relatives own the rest. Not only a good reson to hang out, but it makes things cheaper for both parties.

OK, this post may cause some hate on me, partially because of the off-topicness, but mainly because of the content:

1) I only have PS2, and I'm really satisfied with it. I don't know why everyone is so upset with it. I mean, I can play most of XBOX's game on my computer anyway, and I lost interest in Nintendo games some years ago. The only ones I really want to play are the LOZ, but what the hell, I'm not buying a system just because of one or two games. That's just me, or course. Everyone else is entitled to their own opinions. I just don't understand all the hate on the PS2.

2) While I agree that Street Fighter 2 (original version, not the Hyper/Super/Anal versions) is a great, great game, I probably like the Vs series even more, and Street Fighter Alpha 3 is one hell of a game. And on a side note, my opinion is that every MK game done to the day is crap.

That being said, I'm SOOO buying Soul Calibur III...

I only truly loved MK2 because I had a blast, and could actually beat it because the computer didn't learn more of the way I fought with each successive character. I think that is an awful way of rewarding someone for coming up with a good strategy (without memorizing everything or button mashing either).

I like most games on consoles instead of PCs, to me they are much more fun that way. Except when it comes to strategy and MMORPGs. I totally suck at shooters on the PC, and have no real interest in sports or racing games at all (except DOA:EBV which is both fun and perverted biggrin.gif ). Also, if you don't have a really good computer ... pinch.gif

Playstation/Sony: Just not as good (Not so bad load time wise anymore. Won't buy just because of one or two games. The cutscenes always look better than the rest of the game. I wouln't care if the cutscene graphics were worse just to rid the game of this problem) alien.gif

Xbox/Microsoft: Owned by evil Microsoft corporate empire (will buy for four specific games, besides anything else. No longer has big clunky controller.) cool.gif ph34r.gif

GameCube/Nintendo: Used to be oldschool/kick ass (Thought it was a step backwards from the N-64 at first. What with dumbing down/kiddying some main titles. That turned me off no matter how good they turned out to be. Windwaker was a total disappointment, seeing as how I didn't own the system I couldn't possibly get into the game. Not that I wanted to anyways ohmy.gif sad.gif .)

The "S-Controller" is still almost a whale, and the button setup is terrible too.
