While glancing at the fine artwork at the top of the page of the Imperial Walker over a Gotham nightscape which impresses me every time I see it I realized that even the tech shown in the PT that has prominence in the OT is just shown and not explained as to why it was developed in such and such a fashion.

Supposedly the Republic didn't have a grand army to begin with as there was peace and the Jedi settled disputes via mediation or the occassional rough and tumble. The Seperatists supposedly were duped into changing this equation by Darth Sideous with their forces of droids which were counterbalanced by the Gungans who have an army for some reason even though they don't go to war with the humanoid inhabitants of Naboo, but have issues with them being looked down upon so it necessitates an army for some reason, added to this two jedi, Padme, and a 12 year old that takes out the ship in the finale.

No origins on the development of the aforementioned walker which became a cultural icon of sorts after ESBs release. There was the stubby on the Home Depot cloned Orchid world where the diaper asses female Jedi gets iced, but a better location ould have been on Kassyyk and iys origin being that the Republic clone trooper clones improvised the thing to avoid having to wash off Wookie turds which stick to the sides of the vehicle like barnicles. For God sakes, George, you could have given us something. The bug explaination was worse than the worst cop out for the droid army and Death Star.

Actually, the Imperial Walker project was headed by General Veers. There wasn't anything before that, but for the AT-ST some of the early models could have been shown. Instead they opted for coming out with new shit to make more money. The Death Star was created mainly by a scientist that worked for Grand Moff Tarkin. Can't remember the name, but each time the guy failed, he was cloned and then tortured and killed. It happened many times over befor he finally stayed dead.
Yes, I know I am a geek.gif
Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.

"And the Evil that was vanquished shall rise anew. Wrapped in the guise of man shall he walk amongst the innocent and Terror shall consume they that dwell upon the Earth. The skies will rain fire. The seas shall become as blood. The righteous shall fall before the wicked! And all creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!" - Mephisto

Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

since the emperor is (presumably) from naboo, we can say the shield-carrying fambaa's were the inspiration for the AT-ATs.
Officer! officer! quick! all my money was stolen by a man in flannel!

sorry xenduck, but I definately disagree. The emperor didn't come up with jack for the AT-ATs. General Veers was the one who did. I think one of the higher ups put in a call for some good seige vehicles.
