I have spent my share of time hating the PT, and in turn having strong feelings of dislike for GL for what he has done to this story. But, at the end of the day, the PT still exists, and cannot be ignored. So, that leaves me with the question, what could be done or what storylines could be expounded upon between the existing movies to improve the story? Any thoughts? (I apologize if this has been done)

Only the EU could accomplish that in this fashion. Something that I have noticed is that both "gushers" and "bashers" generally dislike the EU. Something I find amusing is that they often use the EU to explain integral parts of their arguments. Hell even George used EU material to explain inconsistencies in his movies (comic books, books, cartoons, etc.). I also consider interviews and such part of the EU, because there are parts where things outside of the movies are expanded upon and/or explained. Funny thing that is.

Anyway, I think that in some form of media, they should do (and do it well, with little or no GL involvment) The Clone Wars. Disregading of course, the generaly crappy stuff out now. It could really strengthen the PT by explaining a lot of shit, or at least showing what should have been presented in the films.
