I just recently discovered, to my horror, that a friend of mine has only seen one Star Wars film: Revenge of the Sith. So this weekend I'm planning a massive Star Wars day for her, and I was wondering what order I should screen the movies in--chronological by story (Episodes 1-6) or release date (Episodes 4-6, followed by 1 and 2)? Or maybe there's some other random order that would make more sense?

Chronological by release date with Episodes 1-3 optional.
I've never understood this fascination of watching the movies chronologically by story (1-6). What sort of mystery do people think that's going to reveal?

Well, it could be going from awful (PT) to why did these get messed with? (special DVD edition OT).
I conider myself fortunate that if one day I get really angry at my DVD set, I can bust out the original VHS set. The only bad thing is that the picture will be crappy. It might be because each video was watched cloase to around five hundred times each.

Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.
"And the Evil that was vanquished shall rise anew. Wrapped in the guise of man shall he walk amongst the innocent and Terror shall consume they that dwell upon the Earth. The skies will rain fire. The seas shall become as blood. The righteous shall fall before the wicked! And all creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!" - Mephisto
Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

You think your friend has a problem? My friend doesn't know that there are others aside from RotS.
I didn't know that was possible. I was gonna go 1-6, so that it ended on a good note, but now I think I'll go with cutting out the prequels since that seems to be most popular. I only have the original version of Empire, though neither of us has a VHS player anyway.
