There is some porn with an udercurrent of anger and degradation, and "bangbus" is a part of that tradition. There is a genre of "reality" porn, with gals pretending to be amateurs lured in to sex with the promise of money. Then after the sex is through they are thrown out withut pay. There are some where they do receive the money, but the idea is that they got more than they bargained for. And by that I don't mean more money.

I guess the question of whether porn degrades women is like the question of whether guns kill people. Sure, it can, they can can, but not all the time.

Fraid I don't either. But the problem is, though giving women an image to emulate makes those who achieve it more self confident, there's a fair number for whom it wouldn't be healthy to achieve it, and for them, physical perfection would look completely different. It really annoys me when you see girls and women who could obviously be stronger and healthier, but choose to conform to this society's ideals of beauty instead. But more on topic, I don't think there's anything wrong with pornography in general- It's not realistic, sure, but it's like professional wrestling- it's so incredibly obvious that it's not real that it doesn't cause problems. I can't quite remember who said this, but I will quote them anyway. Let the record show that I tried.

"I have no problem with anyone's sexual preferences as long as they don't involve me."

The media in general is so obscenely sensationalized and ideal oriented in the mindless material sort of way that collectively it's degrading to humanity itself. Or maybe it's actually a monument to the human condition... I haven't decided yet.

And just because people were naming porn stars: I was fond of Luna Lane during my brief curiosity about it.

i think people who publically oppose pr0n are assholes!!!
there are some of us out there who aren't thin enough, or attractive enough, or jerky enough to be loved, because that's the kind of society we live in... and while falls far short of compensating a complete lack of intemacy of any kind it does make not having sex for long periods a bit more bareable to many... and it gives kinky couples who don't know any better great ideas... and it can also be increadibly good training for first timers... and sometimes just good for a laugh!!!

so why attack it?

i'm a little disapointed that no one put "if anything, it's not degrading enough..." as an option...

Uh, there are people who defacate on one another and who have sex with horses, and who use spiked dildos. I don't think it can get any worse than that.

But I could throw my vote, I suppose.

And no, it in no way works as a training device aside from the very obvious portions, which everybody knows anyway.

I'm not against it. I know other people enjoy it, but it's just not for me. Though Hentai can be hilarious.
