Magazines and TV shows about the private lives of celebrities are stupid. I mean, who cares if a star went to the park with his girlfriend? That's normal, but people still buy them. I don't know why, but people still watch them.

Paparazzis need to get photos and videos of the celebrities doing stuuf for a living. However, they sometimes hunt them and bother with celebrities personal lives. However, some celebrities sometimes answer with violence hitting and insulting the paparazzis who are just doing their job.

So who are the victims? The celebrities or the paparazzi?

Well, they're bothersome. Any normal person walking down the street being hounded by someone with a camera would be annoyed. And a lot of people say that it's the "price" you pay for being a celebrity. What the hell does that mean? Since when does being famous mean that you have to be punished with annoying little photographers trying to get pictures of you on vacation or buying yogurt? I realize it's their job, but that doesn't necessarily make it acceptable. Technically, assassins are just "doing their job".

Though, you have to admit, assassins are way cooler than papparazi.

Yeah. Assasins are cool except if they're trying to kill you.

And well, there are some stars who enjoy the paparazzi. Perfect example: Paris Hilton.

The celebrities need private lives like everybody else. Anyways, what's so freakin' interesting of seeing in a magazine a celebrity buying clothes or eating in a restaurant?

Yeah, I know I spelt that wrong. It's just that I write too fast and I accidentally make some mistakes.

And you live in the USA. I don't.

Oh, ok. So what's the plural of paparazzi? Paparazzi or Paparazzis?

And Barend, I agree. They killed Lady Di.

I just realized what you two are going on about. Didn't Princess Di die (HA) in a car crash? What did the paparazzi have to do with it? I forget. Though I think I vaguely remember Mel Gibson in there somewhere, but I might just be retarded...

EDIT: Oh. Mel Gibson produced a movie called Paparazzi. That's what I was thinking of.

The paparrazzi (or paparazzis) were chasing Lady Di's car. So the driver got distracted and crashed.

Sensationalism sells, and that's what's important. Privacy, dignity, a paparazzi respects not these things.

If people didn't buy them, it would stop.

I think people who buy Heat magazine have something basically wrong in their lives. If the prospect of reading about whether one of the gurning freakshows from Big Brother is too skinny/pregnant/gay/drunk tempts you to spend two pounds of your hard-earned then you need to take a long look at what you're getting out of life.

The paparazzi are part of a section of society I call 'useless buggers' - though I also ascribe this to some celebrities.

Somewhere there is an invisible circle of celebrity and vanity, and intertwined with its opposite action. If I were to become famous, I wouldn't really like the idea of people pointing cameras at me - I don't even like snaphappy relatives at family gatherings, and the only photography I do is artsy, so if a bunch of people were taking pictures of me going to buy the paper of a Saturday morning, I'd tell them to go where I put the mormons.

I used to read back issues of the tabloids and laugh like crazy in the library in middle school. I got kicked out for being too loud once because of it...
