Alright, part of this comes from the fact I'm bored and pissed that the PT was and concluded the way it did.

Since Lucas needs to explain the unexplainable, wasting time where it shouldn't be wasted, instead of answering a vital plot point or showing something cool, can we expect to see a scene with Obi Wan and Yoda communicating through the Foirce about Yoda's "Special Friend", Chewbacca, and how the time is right for Obi Wan to seek his services out when Luke inadvertently crosses paths with him again?

Or would the communication through the Force be an alarm for Vader and Palpatine to pick up on, leading to a flashback scene where Yoda talks to Obi Wan about Chewbacca on the Tantive IV before dropping Luke and himself off on Tattooine?

Can a coincidence still exist in the post-PT SW Universe where Obi Wan comes across Chewbacca by chance, or was it all preordained from square one?

when i went to celebration III, i attended a meet and greet thing with the ep III art department. one artist commented that he liked to imagine that the mos eisely cantina was a favorite hang-out for clone war veterans. that could explain why obi and chewie would both be there, and adds depth to some of the other shady background characters.
sorry, that doesnt really answer your questions or anything, i just thought that was a pretty clever concept.
Officer! officer! quick! all my money was stolen by a man in flannel!

I like that explaination about the Cantina being a hang out for Clone War Veterans.

The line from the bartender about "We don't serve their kind here" with reference to the droids speaks to the role that droids had in the carrying out of the clone war as well.

It's hard to build a credible universe out of your imagination there are bound to be a few plot holes. StarTrek actually does a pretty good job of it because they had entire writing teams. Lucas could have used one as well to keep up the integrity of his story.

If there is a TV series I hope he engages one.

Which really needed no explanation, when Everyone was a stranger.
Glad someone with no voice has a theory that makes you feel better. smile.gif

Like Marcia? A partner in marriage who propped him up? She was worth engaging.

despondent, you're right, of course, there need be no explanation; but to say the ep III art department has no voice is, well, rather ridiculous.
