Hmmm, I've never played a multiplayer RPG of any kind. Oh, and I don't count Diablo 2 as a true RPG, more of a dungeon hack.

I just got a copy of the orrigional Fallout the other day, and am now playing that for the first time. I'm surprised at how similar it is to Fallout2. They really went for the 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it' method, and it worked a charm. Anyway, just reached the Hub.

Diablo2 Is so an rpg!!!! it is a great rpg, how can u not consider an rpg... its got real time battles i bet thats why.. SO?! it has stats, exp, npc, shitloads of enmys and weapons, character classes, what else does it need to be a rpg?? (and dont say roleplaying cos its got as much of that as any rpg

It has no more roleplaying than Super Mario Brothers. You have no choice in your character's look or gender, and the name is fairly fixed. Thats not major, Planescape: Torment doesn't even let you choose a name, but that has a good plot related reason for it. Diablo doesn't. Your character choice is lacking because they left it out. The major crime is that there is no character growth. You never get a choice in what your character says or does. Theres no difference between a good character, evil character, or ultimatly between a paladin or necromancer. Your amazon has no identity, or anything to set it apart from the thousands of other amazons out there. The game has a good storyline, which is what kept me playing it for so long, but without personality you can only stay there so long before the game becomes nothing more then hacking through enemies to gain xp and items, and where's the fun in that? Fallout and especially Fallout 2 allow pretty much freeform. You can do what you want. You can become a hero, a guardian, a gangster, a child killer, a vigalante, a grave robber, a porn star, a gigalo, a theif, a sherif or a legend. In Diablo, your a one dimensional monster killing machine. In Fallout, you're who you want to be.

How do you rest in Fallout 2? I've pressed every key on my keyboard, but I don't know how, and I've used my medical skills too much, so that option is out...
