I can't really pinpoint it. It sticks pretty close to the original script--there are even some scenes that're directly lifted from the original. It's a lot like the '70s version, except it sucks back.

Considering that I didn't even find the original all that enthralling (foul-mouthed Little League coach, oh how drole), I have my doubts that I'd ever subject myself to a quick cash-in remake.

i think its gonna be a "not so good" movie. My dad and i were discussing how different it looks from the old one, but i dont care, im still gonna go see it

The original film captures little league baseball like no other! I think the only other film that gets close is The Sandlot.

sandlot was a great movie, but it didnt really tell about little league baseball, i think a closer movie would be hardball, and thats pushin it

Ah, the joy of teamwork... I don't think much could top the Sandlot. And the only thing I know about Bad News Bears comes from one line in Goldmember... The trailers looked bad, but that's not a fair decision to see a movie on.
