In case you didn't notice, I posted my new game, Adventures in the Galaxy of Fantabulous Wonderment, on the front page, and I'm holding something of an open beta test. This thread is for discussion of same, as well as posting bugs and suggestions. That is all.
As I walked through the valley of the shadow of death, I realised that it could do with a lick of paint.

OK, got as far as sending a redshirt to the Bloody Towel before I was killed by Culthorpe...and hadn't saved! Any way you could add an autosave at every plot event for those of us who always forget?

We'll see if anyone else makes that request.

Could be just me who has the memory of a retarded goldfish. I do this in every game.

Not sure if this is a bug, but the wormhole in the Protected Zone has trading and spaceport facilities, unlike all the others. Is this intentional?

It would be nice if a right-click in the inventory cycled the cursor mode during the adventurey bits

Also, I just got:

when trying to buy fuel when I was already full up...

Starting playing at 1pm, completed it at around 7. Where did the time go?

It was pretty good. The story was decent. The puzzles and game's weren't entirley challanging, except for the underground 3 pillars thing.. I didn't think the clues hinted enough.

Anyway, I'm really hungry, gotta go make food. Only eaten 2 sandwichs a few hours ago aswell. Oh by the way:

During the game I encountered two bugs. In one, the game crashes if you try and buy missiles when you're got 3/3 [may work with 6/6 9/9 etc, didn't try at that point].

Second one involved the objectives just after I'd rescued the captain. The game crashed if I tried to look at them. Also, the objectives screen had always had, since I first looked at it I think, "Pornography 15 -" at the start of the secondary box, which I presume isn't meant to be there. I have saves at both points if you wanna look.

Yes.

Anyway, uploaded a new version (1.1) which fixes the error you got from trying to buy fuel/missiles when you are maxed out (although I wonder why you'd want to do that anyway) and stopped the errant pornography from appearing in the objectives window, which may also have been the cause of the objectives crashing bug, but I can't be sure.

Note that save games from version 1.0 will not work with version 1.1.

by the way, when in the dream sequences, what happens if I give the wrong numbers etc?
Luckily I had a calculator handy, so I chose the right one..... I'm guessing the other people stood by you correct you?

I don't know how to edit my post on these forums, so I'll just re-reply:

All your games need music or something in the background. A great example is the Engine noise in 7 days. As soon as it stopped I noticed it.

Uploaded newer version (1.1.1) because I suspected not enough people realised that the bulletin board had different messages in each zone. Now has some dialogue to indicate that. Also, someone on the AGS forums complained that the tractor beam was too useful in battle, so now it is three times less effective.

Couple nit-picky bugs. In the kitchen in the beginning of the game, after you knock the chef out, the shards of glass on the floor show up on top of your character occasionally. Also, you can click on the shards as if they were an object, but looking at them or touching them results in nothing.

One bug and one request here.

During the opening cutscene, halfway through it, the colors inverted on me. they went back to normal when it was finished, and it happened agian during one of the tutorial cutscenes. I have no idea if it was something on my end that caused it, or a flaw in the coding, or something weird with AGS.

Also, I do like the nod to Star Trek with the redshirts, but in an effort to save credits, can't we beam the little guys back before they reach an ignominious end? I accidentally sent one to the bar, and had to kill him off before I could do anything useful. That's just not economical. I expect a little more value for my 20 credit investment in human life.

That's all for now.
