Sometimes I make mistakes and as unresolved they follow me around until they are resolved. I just wish I can undo some events that happened so that I have no memory of it. Then I wouldn't have even know about this place. Even after resolving everything now seems plain again back to where I was to begin with. I feel the exhaustion taking its toll.
Now its time for me to get back to normal and that takes a long time.

let me explain:
im a forklift operator, i am currently employed and i make decent income. its always better to make more money (obviously). a friend told me about a company that pays more, and i should apply.
so i did.
about a week elapses, and i get a call wanting me to come in for an interview. cool!, so i attend the interview. the interview went well, but it boiled down to me being placed in a pile with other candidates for review.
the interviewer said that those applicants who had class-a cdl (for those who dont know, thats a license to drive an 18-wheeler) have preferential treatment over other applicants because they can multi-task and also drive the trucks.
the position i applied for pays $16.00 an hr. im thinking to myself, anyone who possess a class-a cdl wouldnt be applying for this position anyways, because if you have a cdl, you make tons more money elsewhere.
but because of this interview, it made me think more and more how many companies today are trying to squeeze more labor and tasks out of their employees.
for starters, a lot of companies express sheer arrogance in their hiring process. they conduct extensive background checks, physicals, amptitude tests, drug tests, etc. many wont talk to you unless you have a resume with cover letter.
you do all this work just to get the job, and then are sometimes asked to do more work that is outside of your initial job description. questioning the duty assigned can be viewed as insubordination.
i guess it works both ways as well. i see a lot of lazy people who have office jobs, and i have caught playing tetris, making personal calls on business lines, taking extended lunch breaks, practicing their golf swing..it makes me wonder sometimes about the occupational diligence of some individuals.
Shit, Fuck, Piss: I had to say that because I can on this website. (Thanks Chef!)

Seriously, though, they want truck drivers who are applying to a fork lift position?

In some jobs they have all these boastful features but as soon as I read in small letters I come across words I have never heard of before for some simple statement. A classic example I think is insubordination, "When you ask questions it is assumed that you are unruly and don't want to take orders." They decorate qualifications and discriminate. I don't feel valued I might as well work for myself but I fear that no happening or falling into debt.

I'm too damn thin. Apparently permanantly. I've been trying to eat more and work out for over a month now, haven't gained a bloody pound. I need 30 more to apply to the State Police, and I'm not getting there.
Dammit.
Guess I'm not going to do that after all. I'd better get working on figuring out what the heck to do now.

Goodness, the world's gone insane...
Joke: So they can crush the suspects with their own weight to save money on restraints and armory.
