No one writed here a topic about my birthday. That makes me sad and angry. And my dog ate my cake...but I bought another.

I think I had a blindspot.

Despite my enjoyment today everyone had to leave early. So I only had half an hour of game play with two people. Do babies need a lot of sleep? This one did. Sadly I couldn't find a way to satisfy this baby with my intentions. Curious of my equipment but easily distracted by cuddly toys.

complaint: stupid people. on the way back from a Decemberists concert last night (yay!!!) there was this profoundly vapid young lady within earshot. she started out by saying that all that was in the neighborhood of my school was mexican food. shortly after, she added, 'oh, and smart people.' she continued by complaining about how she didn't know how to say 'quesadilla' in spanish, followed by her grand finale of explaining to her friend, who was wondering why some people had Southern accents, that it was because of Africa.

pinch.gif

I could feel my brain cells screaming in agony. never so much have I wanted to return to my happy, safe little bubble of academia. the outside world is a scary, scary place.

the concert was awesome, though.

DS: Babies need looooooooooooots of sleep. I think it's somewhere upwards of 14 hours a day at first? I don't remember.

Complaint: I have a 7 page philosophy of Art/Intentions paper to write, an individual website to make for web design, and a group final for website design all due this week. I also bought a pumpkin pie at Wegmans last night, thinking I could have some, only to discover that it REQUIRED BAKING. Who in their right mind goes to all the trouble to sell people pre-made pies if they aren't pre-baked? Why would I want to spend an hour and a half baking a pie that I bought at the store? It would be better to make a pie from scratch if I'm going to have to bake it. GRAH. I think I'll bake it tomorrow, though, and share with my roomies.

The idea being that you can then put them in the freezer, to have when you like. It's still easier then making it from scratch, and you can have it fresh baked.

Gah... System Engineering is the most boring class ever. Especially since I've been doing that stuff since 5th grade.

Systems engineering? Is that the hardware side?

So disappointed, I had to cancel and re order the black printhead elsewhere because the site only told me they are out of stock in my order history. That annoys me the most. When they only tell me they are out of stock after I pay. "Well we will attract as many people and as soon as we receive your order we will send it out to you."

They could have told me that from the beginning. If I didn't check I would be wasting over 7 days(understandibly their long dispatching time over not stocking the items) over a small little black head.

The good thing about this printer is the network connectivity. I can't wait to test it out properly.

complaint: I wish to see more halloween pictures in the gallery!

I would put some up myself only I have none. having a biology test on Nov. 1 and an EE test on the 2nd, I didn't really have much time to put together a costume. but picture what I usually wear, plus the tin foil viking helmet and a purple feather boa. I did go trick-or-treating. mmm, free candy.

Weirdest thing...just a few minutes ago there was a sudden waft of what smelled like cigarette smoke go through my room that won't go away, and now I've got this terrible headache from it. I don't even know where it came from - both of my windows are firmly shut, there's a towel under the gap in my door, and there's no smoking allowed inside the building.

Complaint: Out of milk. Have to drink coffee with artificial creamer sick.gif instead of wonderful beautiful creamy Tibetan butter tea. Mmmmmmmmm. wub.gif

Whats worse is I don’t have a coffee pot so I have to brew my coffee myself which takes an unbelievably long time.

Hate to Double Post, but I Have Another Complaint: For the third time in five semesters, I locked myself out of my room this morning. First, there was the panic attack on the stairs after class let out where I climbed four flights of stairs three times trying to locate where I may have dropped the key which NEVER LEAVES MY LEFT POCKET. Then, when I arrive back, the futile attempt to jiggle the handle desperately until it has pity on me and unlocks itself, and searching my grossly limited inventory for something that would suffice as a lock pick. (What the hell kind of girls' hall bathroom doesn't have discarded hairpins lying all over the place?!) Followed by a plea to the RA on duty downstairs, who doesn't have a key and says the guy who does won't be coming in for another three hours.

After an hour or so of sitting pathetically in front of my locked door in the middle of the hallway, making another appeal to the downstairs RA, and finally deciding that we're going to find someone who can pick locks, my hall's RA (who has the master key for every room) just happens to pass us by and lets me in. And what's waiting for me when I get in, not ten feet away from my door and in full view? MY GODDAMN KEY. RIGHT THERE. RIGHT FUCKING THERE.

(*thrashes about and points wildly to a spot on the bed*)

RIGHT! THERE!

...I just needed to vent that.
