They were talking about Marijuana, and it's the THC in the plant that gives people the high. If you were talking about using random weeds in the lawn, then that wouldn't work, but it would be more cost effective for Chyld to grow his own pot. Oh, you silly college kids and your booze and drugs. tongue.gif

I know it is free for addiction; some garden weeds bring people straight to the point but to the low, just to add the chemicals for effect.

I see that growing the pots are cost affective but risky as some helicopter groups scans thermally for energy patterns at night time. A solution I was thinking of was to grow the pot in a basement behind the wall of a large boiler.

According to my dad, it's really rather hard to grow weed. Takes a lot of work to get anything out of it. It saves money but until you have a whole lot growing, you're never really guaranteed to get anything good out of your efforts - of course, you are ensured that you know what you're smoking.

What are the health benefits of weed?
I know that it is in use for some illnesses.

Just because I am curious does not mean I smoke, but if I want to smoke I rather make my own cigarettes with healthy ingredients, if that is possible.

It's only used for some really bad illnesses because it makes the pain go away or whatever. There really are no health benefits. It's extremely unhealthy, and Gobbler, I give you mad props for not smoking it. and I don't smoke pot, either, but I have before. *shrug* Didn't really enjoy it.

Now that makes sense, so it is also taken by depressed people as an attempt to forget their worries for short period of time, but at the possible cost of physical damage.
That is a shame putting their values before a plant.

(1) A plant for the happy.
(2) A plant for the miserable.
(3) A plant for the depressed.
Then I think of the name, “The Plant Worshippers”.
Perhaps the damage was a cure for their situation.

Not very good project; But is it a project of your interest and choice?

Cut... back...? blink.gif

But in all seriousness, this house doesn't get any more than 1/4oz every two weeks, due to what the business world would call dodgy supply lines, so any sign of any is a cause to rampage down the stairs like an elephant chasing a van full of bananas.

And it is really mad hard to grow, is true. I looked into it, and you need to put in so much time and effort its not worth it unless you go into mass production and start selling your own. You need a big old light on for at least 8 hours a day, which ain't good for the electricity bill, you need to make sure you don't pollinate the females, thus losing the best bit of the plants, and that's just the stuff I can be arsed to remember. So yeah, the Spoon is right.

I know it is not easy to grow and pointless for small amounts unless for personal use, or mass amounts for production. I read it has been done before but in detectable places of a house which led to a raid.

It may be cost effective if there is enough profit made to pay for the electricity bill.
But I am still questioning the toxicity from the plants and the radiation levels from the lights. For the best results on mass making wouldn't it be convenient to involve a plant specialist to help grow it?

2 points about growing the plant;

1: Placing them next to a boiler will trash the heating, so don't bother. Unless you're growing a large amount the heat sig isn't so great, and can covered to a degree with cooling (computer fans, fridges, that sort of stuff). You can buy home hydroponics kits that deal with most of the hassle, or just live in a block of flats. The heat's not enough for the police to get a warrant to search the place anyway, so if it's for personal consumption and you keep your mouth shut; no problem.

2:The biggest problem is likely to be the smell. If you're not careful that will have the cops knocking on your door in no time. The kits come with an air filter these days to clear things up a little.

3.It costs less than you think, especially if there's a few of you in the house sparking up. The initial outlay for the setup is the main cost.

Random illness stuff; It's used by people to deal with arthritis, because it acts as a painkiller. However medical research on the subject is dodgy due to the subject matter. Same goes for the effects of Exstacy on suffers of Parkinsons.

Weed is rarely smoked for depression, certainly no more than any other substance is abused as a crutch.

No Idea, he's attached two others that I know to it and they seem to be atleast mildly amused. One, I suspect of being over it, but I can't act without evidence.

Seems like the villain just pulled random people off the "Watching Icey" list.
