QUOTE (Revan-47 @ Oct 1 2005, 11:46 AM)
I bought that coheed and cambria cd for my girlfriend. are they any good? ide never heard of them before

Hmm... quite good. They're my favorite band. The singer sounds like the guy from Rush, and the Guitar and Bass players sound a little like Yes, though not nearly as fast. They often use two guitars at once, and it gives them a very interesting sound. They also have a bunch of songs that are about 7-9 minutes long. I keep trying to tell people about them, but no one listens.

QUOTE (Icey @ Oct 1 2005, 08:31 PM)
Am going to be living on nothing but water for he next few days, untill I get paid. I've apparently been banished from the kitchen for telling my dad off for promising to apoligize for calling me a lazy bum if I'd clean up the kitchen for him (after he asked me to and me not really listening to him). Told him he shouldn't expect me to move a finger inside the kitchen untill he'd take care of his part of the deal.

He didn't, and instead I am no longer allowed in any room in this house except my own.

This was friday.

That's a little confusing, but okay. Try sneaking food while they're out or asleep.

QUOTE (Jane Sherwood @ Oct 1 2005, 10:05 PM)
I was supposed to go see Corpse Bride today with a couple of friends from band.  They told me they'd give me a call when they were leaving to pick me up.  It is now 9:05 PM; I've been waiting seven hours, and have received no call.

Needless to say, I was a little hurt.

Now, though, I'm really pissed.

I hate it when people do that. Stabbity time.

My computer got bombarded by adware and spyware. So much that a ton got past my blockers. I have spent the last two days trying to get it to run properly. After the first twenty crashes, I lost count. All in all, I have spent nearly ten hours trying to fix the problem. I think I have gotten it running temporarily. Later I am going to diconnect the internet and run a few more scans.

I wanted to have 1000 posts by last night. crying.gif
Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.

I've been feeling a bit 'I want a girlfriend' lonely lately. I know I'm too damned young to even worry about such things but looking at my peers at school having underage sex and seeing all the teen pregnancy issues I feel like I'm really missing out on something [/exaggeration]

In all seriousness though, I've been feeling a kind of lonelyness that would turn a lesser man emo. If it wasn't my love for hawaiian shirts, fishing hats, and tropical feel I probably would be (I really just don't conform to their non-conformity).

Is there no love for the pink puff of stuff?

Bah, you're not too young if you're looking for love and not just booty. If there's love for me, there's surely love you you out there, mang.

Can't say much that would alleviate those lonely pangs, except to get into a mindset that there's always later, and it's better to be single than in a relationship you hate. Or, you know, go out and find a woman... Granted, it's fifty times harder when you're a geeky guy, even if you're a stealth geek*, trying to find a non-sterotypical woman. So many mindgames and materialist shallowness... Good luck, man. It's very possible.

*Stealth Geek: A geek who realizes that sometimes one requires favorable reactions from non-geeks, and that dressing in full Dr. Who garb makes more people quirk an eyebrow than worship you, and so picks up some rudimentary sense of "style" and develops social skills for average interaction with non-geeks. In short, a stealth geek is undetectably geeky until he/she steps into the comic book store/EB (or Game Stop, or his/her video game retail place of choice) and starts up a conversation with the cashiers biggrin.gif.

Yes, you can definitely find love at 16. However, I wouldn't recommend it. At 16, "Love" is highly overrated... It's subjective, it's easily broken. One usually ends up with more pain at the end of it (and there will be an end to it) than the loneliness before it was causing. Because girls fuck everything up.

But, it's possible that I'm wrong. It's also possible that German monkeys caused the Space Invasion of '64 that led to the fall of the Kajikstanian Empire, the first Empire to ever establish a Slinky factory on Venus.

I josh. There's cool girls in this world, neh? Yup. 4 of them, in fact.

I believe we're talking about love, not adolescent infatuation that's fickle and immature...

At age 16, 99.9999% of the time, it's the same thing. Or at least, "adolescent infatuation that's fickle and immature" is confused for love.

But everyone is free to take that .00001% of a chance. Because if it takes, it's worth it.

That is exactly why I did not start dating until I was almost 18. I have been with the same girl ever since. I wouldn't say that we are in love exactly, but we definately have a healthy relationship. I would say the only thing that puts a strain in the relationship is that she doesn't believe in pre-marital sex. Obviously though, if I'm still with her I can deal with the way she feels about things. It doesn't really bother me that much. And, since the both of us are pretty crazy anyways, it's not something that gets brought up very often. wacko.gif

"adolescent infatuation that's fickle and immature" is something that stays with many people for much of their lives. That is why it's tough at times for both guys and girls that don't look like supermodels.

I commend you on your willingness to hold off on sex for your girlfriend. Most people, girls or guys, would take off in an instant upon hearing such a request.

And at least people who "don't look like supermodels" don't have to deal with "adolescent infatuation that's fickle and immature" nearly as much. Or, at least, that's what us non-supermodel-looking people have to tell ourselves in order to not get discouraged... sleep.gif

Kirby, do you know how to pretzel? Its a relatively easy dance, but it looks cool and it willl make you look good. If you don't, you could do a google search for "pretzel" and "dancing" but I don't think that would do you much good. And is there a salsa or dance club at your school? If so, JOIN IT! And also, don't skip school dances, and don't be afraid to take risks. If the google search proves ineffective, drop me a line (my email is on my profile) and I'm pretty sure I could explain how you do the first part of the pretzel via email.
