Why is it that whenever i wake up, i can remember a fair amount of my dream, but about 5 minutes later its completely gone and i cant remember what the %$#@ happened!? Am i the only one that this happens to, please say no, or i will seek medical attention.

I think that has happened just about every morning to pretty much every single person who has ever lived.

Well I wouldn't say that rules out the possibility entirely.
Head Gunner for the Royal Sloop Crimson Steel, Queen of the Dead, Instigator of Chaos and Confusion, Knight of the Grand Recursive Order of the Lambda Calculus, and also The Non.
Remember Emu's face, people; one day it's going to be on the news alongside a headline about blowing some landmark to smithereens, and then we can all sigh and say, "She was such a normal person".....
....We'd be lying though.

I have similiar dreams all the time. Once it was a WotW/Aliens merger, that is, the Aliens of Aliens invading the earth. Somehow I was more worried about my dog and ruining my humwee (neither of which are items I'd even care for!) than other people's health.
Dreamt I got my dad to read Bruce Campbells novel and he had this to say on the topic. "He's very womanly, it's like every other word is female and every other word pairing is womanly. Very odd." Then he gave me some money, which I thought I'd actually gotten after I woke up, but alas. A trip to the store was wasted.

Hell, I once had a series of odd dreams, and got out of bed at 4am just to stick them in my journal. But then again, they were all about people being killed, so not really "roll over and sleep again" material.

I had one where I was a mini-human torch; about the size of a GI-Joe. I was fighting a mini-magma style super hero and another fire-themed one. The other one grabbed a big chunk of concrete and threw it at me, and the magma guy threw lava on it. I picked it back up and threw it at them, then knocked them into the creek near my house, which drowned thier powers.
