In star wars we had the catina song. in return of the jedi we had jedi rocks, nub-nub, and that pre-special edition droopy mccool song. but how come none of the prequels have any bands or music? was it the dark ages of the empire that inspired such wonderful tunes? please help me, i want to know why lucas lost his musical genuis.
It seems like everyone is over the nitpicking. Too bad.

Simply because Lucas doesn't have a music division, so we are bombarded with bad CGI because the movies are a commercial for his LFL, and in scenes like the bar in Coruscant that have video games on the walls, he's pushing LucasArts, not to forget the PSP Anakin holds when he hears Palpatine say that if he's destroyed, the secret to prolonging life goes with him. If it doesn't advance his brands, Massa George isn't interested.
