With all of the nonsense in the PT, has anyone wondered just how much restraint it must have taken George Lucas not to make it order 666? With all the nincompoopery of angels and Tarzan yells from Wookies, its amazing that he was able to resist.

I was thinking that myself. But *becomes fanboy* Obviously he said that so that no Jedi would be prepared for the attack. How come no-one sees the brilliance of the plot? *De-Becomes fanboy* I think that he could have said an even better line. Ask the people who wrote that line Scar says in Lion King. I saw it in school a month ago and still think that it's a good line. But I'll stop before I inadvertantly hijack this thread.

"86" would have been more appropriate because its short slang for "eliminate". Your post made me realize that there are Jedi still alvie as Palpatine sat in his office going through his Roloxex telling each clone commander personally to institute Order 66. He does this with Cody, so I assume all the others got a personalized message. Somewhere in the middle of the Rolodex he must have said "ah, fuck it, let Vader worry about this shit" as he called for his bald lady friend to soothe his new facial features.
