Are you referring to me or somebody else... if you're referring to me, let me put it another way...

To enjoy the Prequels you must

a) Lower my standards
B) Kick aside your sensibilities
c) Strangle your tastes, and
d) pretend story logic doesn't exist

god, we need some kind of sarcasm register on these things. I have read your other posts cowboy (it's weird how you get to know people a bit on the net) and pissed myself laughing. I thought you had gone loco. I am happy to hear you are of relatively sound mind.

I had a slightly surreal discussion with someone I suspected to be a fanboy. It was full of "It was great" and "ROTS rocked" and such-like (from him, not me obiously!).

Then the comment came - "And I can't believe Anakin became Darth Vader!"

All I could think of to say was "Er, yeah you're right, who saw that coming!?"

Thanks, Batemen. I'm sorry I cause confusion. I tend to do that when I start getting worked up over the prequels...

QUOTE (Patrick Bateman @ Jul 9 2005, 03:21 PM)
Although I walked out after twenty minutes - with a rather unfortunately loud "Ugggggggggggghhhhhhhh!" I have read, heard and seen enough clips of this shite to know it stinks, even from a mile away.

All I have to say to fanboys is "You guys are retarded!"

Can you imagine if GL had given the final film over to someone else and it had that many plotholes!

In conclusion, ROTS seems the best of the worst three, but even the third to last finisher in a marathon gets the applause of mothers only.

It's people like you who I find hilarious. "I didn't even see all the movie, but it sucks!".

At least watch the whole thing before giving an opinion.

I think seeing the whole movie would only make him like it even less.
Although... he would get some good laughs out of it. smile.gif

And that's all that the PT's are good for anymore, is a good laugh... on par with Ed Wood movies, or any B or Z-movie from the 50's & 60's.

So I have to ask myself, is that what Star Wars was meant to be? A bunch of expensively made Z-movies? If so, then that's not what came across to me with the OT, and apparently to many, many others.

If that's the case, that Lucas WANTED them to be expensively-made Z-movies, then he essentially failed until he got back to the prequels, and he actually accomplished making Z-movies, then he succeeded....

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I watched the whole movie before deciding it sucked. I honestly couldn't get myself to say it was well done, which I say about every movie to avoid hurting the director's feelings.

Well, of course you are more than entitled to dislike the film. It's just seems a little hypocritical to trash something you haven't seen in full, and then criticize people who gush over the movie.

My good Mr. Heckhouse. If a movie is bad enough for someone to walk out on, it is pretty hard to salvage. However if it would help, I can write a summary of the movie, picking up where our good friend left off.

In related news, I am trying to get into the mind of a Fanboy on theGrievances Thread. I hope that Heckhouse could assist me in learning how they think.

The thing is they don't think. At least, not in any logical way.

Most of my fanboy dealings have been involving video games... I must say that I prefer Star Wars fanboys over PS2 fanboys.

Excellent. I thank you greatly. And if I seemed to be saying you were one, I didn't mean to, I meant to say that you were doing a good job of impersonation.

I liked this movie. but i have good explanations as to why i liked it. and i dont consider myself a fanboy. Im more of an "go see a movie to judge if its classic or not." i have a kick ass movie collection at home.

I like the movie. I donŽt think it "rocks". All star war movies have weak dialog and acting why should epIII be any diferent?

I dont think it has plot holes.

The truth is none of the star war movies are particularly well done. The thing is we have all grown up if we were kids we would think epIII "rocks".

You cold nitpick all star wars movies to exaustion (PT and OT). I mean i was 8 when i saw the empire strikes back and i clearly remember disliking han solo say "then iŽll see you in hell".
