I find it funny, when reading ROTS forums, to find fanboys trying to explain why this is the "best starwars movie ever"

it goes more or less like this:

Normal Person: This movie was very weak
Fanboy: weak? are you crazy? you have no taste in movies, it was excellent, why do you think it's bad?
NP: Well, the acting is very poor.
FB : yes it is, but it rocks!
NP: And the dialogue was cheesy
FB: Yes, but it's the best movie ever!
NP: And everything was rushed
FB: Yes, it was very rushed, it's so sad there will be no more Prequel movies
NP : And there was too much CGI, making it a bit fake
FB: Yes, a lot of CGI, but still, the movie rocked!
NP: And there are a lot of plot holes
FB: yes there are, but it's easily explained by the use of the force or the midiclorians
NP: Well, whatever
FB: Lucas Rules!!! I cried when Obi-Wan left his brother burning
NP: good for you.

This is more or less the conversation. People who love this movie, usually agree on the negative parts, but even so, they loved it. I guess if they just want to see action, they should stick to Seagal movies or something.

I'm being a bit sarcastic, but i tend to find people who liked ROTS more into making themselves believing the film is good, rather then being honest about how they really feel about it.

ROTS must be the most overrated film in history

Regards

I find Fanboys to be a fascinating subject. Someone could write a thesis on them.

Fanboys on this board are funny too. What makes you think you are normal people?

Cheesy dialogue can be fun and it is part of Star Wars style.

Many normal people I know like Episode 3, by the way.

And look at Theforce.net forums for indepth discussion I have no time for, having too much fun in Paris.

Spanish sweet babe or Russian cold blonde, by the way? Or should I stay faithful to my girlfriend?

Spanish. You could always mail order a Ruski, or buy one off the internet.

You never fail to entertain me, barend.

As for the topic at hand...I went into the theater with the lowest of expectations, and just tried to enjoy the action that I could.

The movie had MANY plot holes, etc...but at least the final lightsaber fight (Obi and Ani...not Yodes and Palps) was entertaining.

I don't know why I even bother to reply to you, but just for the record when I wrote "Normal People" I was referring to people who not have all the star war toys or do not stand in line for two weeks dressed as Jedi for a movie ticket. By no means I was implying that people who liked this movie are freaks.

My point is simply that people who did like the movie, usually agree that the acting and dialog are bad and the story was rushed, but they still loved it, which I find funny because this 3 things are enough to make it a bad movie.

That's too vague.

We want PHOTOS!!!

Although I walked out after twenty minutes - with a rather unfortunately loud "Ugggggggggggghhhhhhhh!" I have read, heard and seen enough clips of this shite to know it stinks, even from a mile away.

All I have to say to fanboys is "You guys are retarded!"

Can you imagine if GL had given the final film over to someone else and it had that many plotholes!

In conclusion, ROTS seems the best of the worst three, but even the third to last finisher in a marathon gets the applause of mothers only.

I don't know, seems like a lot of NORMAL people are the ones that think the new star wars movies are cool. Sure, the REAL weirdos LOVE the new star wars movies, but, in general I think that most people (at least 17-30 or so) think the new movies are cool, too.

Which goes to show you that most people are dumb,

All I have to say is that at no point did I have to a) lower my standards B) kick aside my sensibilities c) strangle my tastes or d) pretend that story logic doesn't exist to enjoy the OOT.

Flying Ferret

Battle for the Galaxy--read the "other Star Wars"

All I know is I haven't seen the real prequels yet.

I don't know how to answer that except to say "even though films are subjective .... fuck it, that film sucks balls, you are wrong."
