I'm not sure what I'm going to do. After reading through the comics one night, I realized that my comics are badly written. And to tell the truth, I tried pretty damn hard to make the dialogue decent. But, really people, my comics aren't very good. I'm thinking about taking the whole site down.

Bah, have you seen half the stuff that qualifies for webcomics on the net these days? by comparison your dialogue's not bad.

At least your not a sprite comic.

Yeah, what Laughlyn said. There's some really atrocious stuff out there, and yours was actually pretty good. Or at least I thought so.

well a big thumbs up for keeping at it. Sometimes a break away from drawing that stuff's what you need to get some new ideas/sort out the general direction.

Since I had to wipe out my computers hard drive because it just stoped working for some reason, I now have to re-draw my character sets and backrounds. Fun...
Come to think of it, I also lost all of the Age of Evil levels I made also.

I think this may possibly be the worse thing that has happen to me.

Oh man, that absolutely sucks.

You were almost done with the AOE stuff, weren't you?

ARRRRRG!

Same happened to me about a month ago, pain in the ass for sure. Surely you can extract them from the online images without too much hassle?

on the AOE front, if you want a hand with weapon graphics of similar stuff, I think I have some images that might work. Let me know the format\what you need and I'll post\mail them to you.

I was almost done with the third episode, I don't know if I have the patience to go though and create them again. After I do some more Losers comics, I'll try and make them again.

Yeah, half of the time when drawing the comics I cutted and pasted characters from a character set I had. It won't take me long to do it.

Thank you very much for the offer on the weapons graphics, I'll let you know if I'm in need of some. The only weapon graphics I'll need to change is the shotgun, I found the nucular symbol on the shotgun kept forcing me to think I was playing Duke Nukem.

Anyway, The graphics must be drawn in the Editart program Build comes with. If I tried to paste, for example, a JPEG file the colors wouldn't read right in editart.

Oh yeah, my computer is fixed and my internet is working again.

Also, Thanks to everyone who talked me into drawing mre Losers comics. I was truly about to give up on it.

I'm sure there was a way of importing 256 colour bmp files. I'll have a dig around and see what I can turn up.

got it. There's a program called dukeres that allows you to import bmp files. It's a bit buggy though so I found it better just to use the cut and paste option.

Couple of files for an example:
shotgun
muzzleflash
Both have the right palettes, but suffer from horrible superquick-mspaint artwork.
And it's a bit small.

EDIT:You may need to line them up a bit in dukeres. try it without first of all.

Excellent, this program will help me out loads. It's a pain in the ass to draw weapons using the tools editart gives you, I greatly appreciate it.

Even though Yahtzee must think of me as the biggest slacker in the Northern hemisphere and is positive I'm never going to the AOE levels, I'm going to work furiously to finish it.

Thanks a ton for the help!
