Betrayal of Fantasy Boundaries

1) Lucas gives his characters very contemporary dialogue; Samuel Jackson seems to think that he’s still in Pulp fiction in the final battle scene.
2) Why in this advanced (but ancient) universe of intelligent droids, clone armies and flying cars, did no one think of a better type of luggage than the humble suitcase?
3) When Padme and Anakin are being tortured by their feelings for one another, Padme tells Anakin to come back to the real world. Which world would that be? Would that be the world of Planet Naboo, Planet Tatoinne, Plant Corscuant or Planet Earth?

I kind of prefer to be pulled out of the PT. Reminder to use the restroom.
I didn't need any reminders, lines like the sand being rough Padme being smooth, seemed to call for one.

Excellent point. After all, they carried Frozen Han out on a levitating platform!
Battle for the Galaxy--read the "other Star Wars"
All I know is I haven't seen the real prequels yet.

everyone one knows the hover-gernies are 20 years ahead of suitcases...
that's why we've had them since the 1840s

You know what, you’re right…
“Then we’ll see you in Hell!”
“Hey, you lost her to me fair and square!”

That's a hell of a lot better than:
"Are you brain-dead?"
"This is so wizard."
"Yipee!"
And that's just one of the movies.

We weren't discussing the flaws in the OT but the betrayal of fantasy boundries in ATOC. I am really tired of PT gushers whose only rejoinder to 'flaws' in the PT is to point to the OT. However, if you want to start making a long lazy list of flaws that exist in the OT go right ahead.

Aaaaaand once again - if the PT had any redeeming quality whatsoever, then people would be more forgiving of the flaws. But they had very few good qualities and where in-of-themselves lazy and poorly-made films, so of course people are going to attack them.
Yeah perhaps the films of the OT get a pass or two, but that's because they were GOOD movies overall.
And by the way, in case you haven't noticed in the other threads, the flaws of the OT are brought to light many times (especially with regards to Return Of The Jedi).

Label yourself with whatever you want, but leave me out of it. My point has always been that people (you'd probably like to refer to them as OT APOLOGISTS) turn a blind eye to the myraid flaws in the OT, and even go as far as to damn the PT for doing exactly the same thing. All I'm trying to point out is by following your logic, all the films are terrible. Most of the problems that come up when people talk about the PT have existed in SW since 1977 (not all of them, there are a few new ones).
