To be honest, I decided not to get Acadamy solely on your review.

Woohoo! I made a difference!

To be honest, Jedi Academy is a little better than Outcast but mostly just because you spend a lot less time not having a lightsaber. Let's face it, having a lightsaber is what people want.

I still think the best lightsaber game is Star Wars: Obi-Wan. The game is widely disliked but the way the dual analog works for the lightsaber just feels right. I'd love to see an update of that with even better controls.

I really like JK II Outcast i think it's better than Jedi Academy because its more linear. I like both the games and haveing played Obi Wan aswell i still think Outcast is the best mainly due to the fact that the block graphics in Obi Wan made it hard for me to sit down and play it for more than 1 hour sessions.

Well...I wouldn't call the guns compleatly obsolete, there are times when you have the shotgun idiots up on ledges and your lightsabre throw isn't quite advanced enough yet. I just loved walking into a room with 30 storm troopersand 3 turrets and standing there with my lightsaber, mowing them all down with their own shots. So frigging hilarious.

The lightsabre duels seemed pretty arbitrary, and the force speed was annoying as hell to use. Got me seasick. That and trying to control movement, force powers and your lightsaber, not to mention ducking and jumping, really hurt my hands. You guys see how poorly I post here >;P

As far as FPSs go, I really liked HALO. I realize that that's pretty unorigional, but HALO was a really fun single player and multi player experience.

And the kissing scenes nearly gave me nightmares.

Although I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised when we didn't have the cliche of Sith Warrior Sexxxychick (yay jedi acrobatics with a one-strap bra!) NOT coming back to attack kyle after he let her live.

I agree with you Creaux there was at times to much going on and using every control than you need to can be a pain as there on the otherside of the keyboard and you need your over hand on the mouse.

Has anybody played Colloseum for JK:II Outcast that's pretty good.
