OK, going by what's on your profile I'd say you should try the Light Bar on Friday nights, and the Civic Hall on Saturday nights. They both do kind of indie/rock nights which are getting more popular these days.
Pretty much everywhere of interest is in the city centre I'd say, so you can't go far wrong.
Let us know if you want to know anything else.
Oh, and feel free to come and give the Wolves a bit of support while you're over here, we need it!

I remember the Dutch dude John De Wolf (not a pun!) played for the Wolves! I'll drop by in Moulineux Stadium if I have some money to spare.

Yes, you might have trouble with the locals' accents at times. The Black Country has a very distinctive dialect.
