Ahh yes, Fourth of July, the holiday where we sacrifice gunpowder to the patron saint of blowing up stuff. So how did your holiday go?

And for our international friends, tell us about some of your adventures with comercial explosives.

It was the fourth of July today? I missed 1776: the musical! I love that movie, so funny.

We burnt an american flag as a tribute to the brave souls combating americas foreign policy, played god save the queen, and paid thanks to the atlantic ocean.

I ate good food, drove on the right, listened to rock and roll by a hetero rock band, enjoyed the sun, stayed sober, and thanked my dentist for a job well done. All things I wouldn't be doing if I was a British subject royal worshiper instead of an American. Despite all the crap that George the second has dragged us in over here, I wouldn't exchange him for a dipshit prince with a shemale wife and a prime minister dumb enough to believe and follow GW.

Thanks General Washington!

im an american, but i dont really like the fourth of july. cuz i live in a town where you see true americans everyday. Rednecks and drunks, and dirty losers. i like the fireworks and festivities but the spirit is dead.

In true English style I cupped my hand round my ear, aimed it towards the atlantic and complained about the 'bloody frightful racket coming from the colonials'.

Then I realised it was actually the Irish.

Let's see...I ate ribs.

And...did stuff.

There was a severe lack of blowing-shit-up at my house, so today was basically the same as any other day, except our neighbors were all out having fun blowing shit up and we weren't.

And to think this whole holiday is to celebrate winning our independence from you guys...is it too late to come back?

Amazingly that fact is completely missed by 90% of this country, so we have to put up with stars and stripes everywhere for the day.

Jane, we'd love to have you back, but it'd take decades for you all to readjust to the proper english language.
