Some of you may know I'm writing a novel. Now, for this novel I need an awesome cover, but surely I don't have money to let a pro do it for me. Probaly this novel is going be a self-released novel (together with the infamous Chyld, you know him?). We, being amateurs, want an amateur artist to make this cover. You, of course, will get all the credits for the cover design and, if we're lucky, you might even end up with some royalities.

If you're intrested post in this thread or let me know through a PM.

I might be able to sketch something out, but odds are I'd need someone else to colour. Photoshop is a wretched unlovely whore.

I'm impressed Barend! Those look very cool (and bizar!).

Now I re-read my first post, I see that I didn't say anything. Let me give you an idea what the book is about...

Paul Hanick is a middle-aged doctor with a complete pointless life and he wants to give it a meaning. In his philosophy this can only be done by becoming irreplaceable. When a man gets involved in a car accident, it’s the perfect chance for the doctor to realize his dream. The victim of the car crash becomes unwillingly the private patient of the doctor.

Then I think it's good to have a colorless cover. A) the novel has a dark feeling and I think a black/white cover fits the story pretty good and cool.gif while Chyldio is going to print the whole bunch, we might want to save some money and NOT use a colored cover...

Anyway, thank you for your time.

That looks like a great story Marky. How it's called so I can include the name on the cover?
Sorry, you won't be seeing a smartass sig here. Try with the next poster.

It's called Madman, and if you want to includethe writer's name on it, it's Marky Lazer.

On a side note, if you're really intrested, I decided to put the work in the Screening Room.

Barend, every time I check out that URL I am reminded of two things I am constantly forgetting:

1.) You are an amazing artist.

2.) You have the most regal sounding name I've ever had the good fortune to hear.

Bravo on both points!
