Seriously, that was brilliant. :D "Man, what is with all these people who get so uptight about other people's opinions online? Why can't they just get over it? It's so sad and pathetic. I will prove how totally above these people I am by proceeding to complain about them extensively, addressing and counter-attacking every slur any of them have ever directed at my person. THAT'LL SHOW THEM."

Awesomeness.

Now, I admit that I'm rather quick to make assumptions about people myself, and that I don't actually know anything concrete about you. But I think that if you look deep within yourself to your most secret core and consult with your inner soul, you will find that these are big naughty lies.

With all due respect, of course.

Oh dear gods, are the sprite comic kids complaining again? Honestly.

Not sure whether I'd have formally apologised to them, myself, since they're not the ones paying for the hosting. But then again, I've never recieved hate mail, so I couldn't say.

Dare I ask what venomous little gobshite's e-mail whinings brought this on?

I don't understand the complainy kids.
And I think Bryan seems like quite the likeable character, why they get so upset, I will probably never know.

Ah well.

Why am I the only one who sees any irony or hypocrisy in this article?

I mean, I have nothing but respect for Heccubus, certainly more than most people I know online, and he's definitely one of the more intelligent and interesting personas on here. But come on.

WHY AREN'T YOU LAUGHING.

I was when I read it, but I only just read it then. Haven't been online for a bit. I actually came to post how amusing I found the article, only to see that you'd already beaten me to it.

I'll point out a few things here:

QUOTE

Well that right there pretty much nullifies most of what's been said here.
What was posted was posted because it was beginning to bother me just how many people took that article so seriously. I felt that I needed to post an official rebuttal/explanation on my behalf so that the effort was at least made to state my own case.
If that's hypocritical (which, in my experience, seems to be more of a cop-out argument for why you don't like something that was written, more than anything), then I guess you're just one of many who have somehow decided that I'm a hypocrite. To me, it just looks like you more or less completely missed the point of posting that.

I don't *need* to know anything about you to come to the conclusion that your article was the most hilariously ironic thing I've read in a while. In fact it probably just would have made it funnier, since I wouldn't have been misled into thinking you might find it amusing also (or better, that you might have been deliberately trying to amuse your audience with false pomposity).

Believe it or not, I wasn't insulting you, or attempting to bug you, far from it... if anything, I was apparently giving you too much credit when assuming you don't take yourself 100% seriously. As it stands, I'm frankly amazed and somewhat disillusioned to learn that you can't see even the slightest smidgen of hypocrisy in there, regardless of your history with these people. If you really, truly, honest-to-god don't think it's at all funny, then I guess I have to withdraw my comments about respect and intelligence.

Since when is feeling the need to address an issue concerning something I wrote taking myself too seriously? And since when is that same action hypocritical? And how does this have anything to do with my intelligence? If you don't respect me because it bothers me that so many people were that offended by a silly little article, then I think you need to re-evaluate what constitutes respect in your life. If anything, I think the fact that I had the good nature and decency to offer an apology and an explanation for why I wrote the article in the first place puts me a notch above just saying "Ha ha, you're all mad!" and thumbing my nose at them.
Sorry to have lost your respect, but I got along fine without it in the first place.

Ummmmm.

Okay, so I was in a really bad mood this morning due to unrelated incidents and uh, overreacted somewhat. I still think the article's funny, but my previous post is extremely petulant and 'what the fuck'. Many profuse apologies, a major jerkface is me. Currently experiencing much embarrassment. I'll just go hide somewhere now.

Goodness me, can't we all just get along?

Yeah, long shot, I know.
