Don't take personally, this are my thoughts and my opinion

- We did not know who was the creator of C3PO

- We did not know that users of the force could be ranked

- We did not know there were microscopy beings who communicate with us and the force

- We did not know Luke's father accidentally blown a ship and saved a planet and, just before that, said "Ups"

- We did not know Yoda prefer to run way instead of stoping the Emperor rise to power

- We did not know Luke was always supposed to be trained with the force

- We did not know what Bobba Fett looked like

- We did not know Luke's father was the "Chosen one" (nor did Lucas before Matrix, I think)

- We did not know R2 could Fly and Jump

- We did not know, that putting C3PO head on another droid and his body with another droid head it would work

- We did not know Luke and Leia Mother died at birth (everybody knew she lived with Leia a couple of years at least, Lucas included)

- We did not know the Death Star took 20 years to build, although Star Destroyers and other big ships seem to appear out of nowhere ready to use

- We did not know Vader shaved is eyebrows

- We did not know that Han Solo Shoot did not shot first

- We did not know Chewbaca and Yoda were old friends (small Wor.. universe)

- We did not know there were annoying creatures like Jar Jar and Watto

- We did not know that, except for 3 Jedi's (Yoda, ObiWan and Mace Windu), all Jedis are easily killed by Stormtroopers and show no powers whatsoever

- We did not know that Yoda was a "Great Warrior" after all

- We did not know that Vader did not "help the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights" apart from killing kids and some annoying trade whatever creatures

- We did not know Uncle Oewn Was Luke's father Step brother, everybody, Lucas included, thought he was Obi Wan's Brother.

- We did not know that people in Tatooine grow older faster than on earth

- We did not know the romance of Luke's parents was one of the most boring and forced things in the StarWars universe

- We did not Know that all the Jedi's were Virgins

- We did not know that SandPeople can have precise shots after all (hit pod racers at 600 miles an hour?)

- We Did not know Lucas was such a bad director and writer

- We did not know Obi Wans Ghost sufferd from some sort of memory loss, since he did not know that "There was another" when he was there on the birth of the twins

- We did not know that the Skywalker's family favorite pasttime was losing arms and hands (well, we had an ideia about that)

- We did not know Lucas had the same capacity changing scripts as vader had of altering deals

- We did not know the force needed to be balanced, and we still don't know what does that mean

And my personal favorite:
- We did not know Anakin Skywalker was so annoying

[Anankin assembling C-3PO is the biggest load of crap in the PT. There is one #PO series Obi Wan and Qui Gon encounter on the Federation SHip, and many others throughout the SW universe. Anakin could have cobbled one from a few in Watoo's junkyard, I'll buy that, but there's no way in heck he built him from scratch.No reason is given, and the armour that finishes him up just "appears" in ATOC as does the gold plating in ROTS. He also has very little of any interaction with C-3PO in the movies, using R2 instead on the rescue mission. Was all that set up for him to stop Boba Fett from Blasting Chewbacca with the disassembled 3PO on his back? Far fetched indeed.......

I always thought Vader stoped Fett to shot because he did not want to risk the lives of Luke's friends (so they could be used again to attract him to Vader)

It's public that ObiWan's Death in a New Hope was changed to much sooner while shooting the film, so it's very unlikely that all the saga was already written. Even the Vader Father of Luke thing was, I think, Added as Empire was Filming.

As far as I understand it, there was originally going to be 1 film. Then 3 films. Then 6 films. Certain details were added and tweaked as they went along. Hence the minor inconsistencies with Obi-Wan's Vader speech to Luke, Luke & Leia's relationship, etc.

Ever since ESB and ROTJ there was talk of a story before and after (so that Eps 4, 5 and 6 were the middle of a 9-part saga) but the details weren't finalised (other than in EU) until late 90-s and early 2000s.

- We did not know that the stormtroopers had all the same stupid face that Boba Feet

- We did not know that idiots C3Po and R2D2 were the wisest droids of the universe.

- We did not know that was possible to make such bad films when you have 20 years to planify them and unlimited budget.

- We did not know that a public person could appear suddenly completely desfigured and nobody really care about it.

- We did not know thet the same person could blame a higly respectable intitution like the jedi for the extreme makeover and the people not only buy it at once but accept inmediatly the fall of democracy and the freak as a new Emperor.

- We did not know that people like Spielberg care so little about his friends reputation.

- We did not know that the best way to kill an enemy is to hang unnarmed of a platform and grab back the gun or saber and slice or shut the moron!

- We did not know that Yoda was a martial art's film fan!

- We did not know that horrible hairstyles could be inherited!

The whole no attachment rule doesn't necessarilly imply no sex. After all don't you think that twenty or more years of sexual frustration are liable to lead to some psychotic tendencies, and therefore be a path to the dark side. For testimony to that effect all we need to do is ask some of these priests brought up on charges about it. My fried had an interesting theory, however, that most Jedi make routine visits with hookers. Hell, it's probably in the health plan.
