after seeing all six star wars espisodes i can't help noticing that unfortunatly in new trilogy Lucas havent really thought which perspectiv would be most interesting to deliver his story. In old one we saw evil empire defeated by total underdogs and etc.. which is really that perspective that keep you interested and really into story and characters. In new trilogy we have these jedies and republic acting so weierd that it cant catch your attention too much. Simply to make these new films really interesting main character should be Palpatine, we should be seeing directly how he's pulling all strings and how he exactly makes his plan works by making others to play to his music not this " we know he's behind all this but let's not givit it away bullshit ".

Lucas should produce, draft in a decent director and writer and stand back!!!!
Perhaps a trilogy involving the building lust that Luke and Leia denied each other since Empire, concluding in a fantastic court battle where Obi reappears as a surprise witness to declare that midichlorians are capable of transforming DNA strands to the extent that incest is no longer a problem ... Luke cries out whoopee mind blanks everyone in the universe, orders Leia into the bikini and the fun begins. This would conclude the second film of course "Assault on Intelligence" leaving the way open for the finale, "Return of the Shebanging" a 90 minute R18 extravaganza with the welcome return of the Ewoks and a scene explaining why Chewbacca is always whining ...

There's plenty of fertile ground. Whether or not there will be an atmosphere to support life, is the question.
If he makes a new trilogy people will be pissed. Why?
Because it will go against the EU if set in the "already covered" 0-27 years after ROTJ.
Or because it will use new actors to play classic characters (the principles are way too old to play themselves unless you start with the NJO era).
Or if it's set too far removed from the two trilogies people will hate it because it lacks the "magic" of the originals.
Etc.
What with the TV show, I think that's plenty of opportunity to cover the "gaps" between the two movies without stepping on too many toes (that haven't already been stepped on with the prequels rewriting EU "history"). The TV show may run Star Wars into the ground (further, as some people might say here), or it might be great, or just mediocre. We have no way of knowing until it's shown.
Suffice to say, at this point there are no plans for a new trilogy. People like SuperShadow who say there are are just pulling it out of their a$$.

Actually, on the cover of current star wars books, the pictures of luke look exactly like mark hammil. although carrie fisher... Because it will go against the EU if set in the "already covered" 0-27 years after ROTJ.

You people amaze me. "Man I hate these prequel movies, they torture me, make it stop Good, episode III is here so finally this horrid trilogy comes to an end.......when is the next one coming out?"
Think it this way: It's a win or win situation. if the films are good, great! If not, come to Chefelf for fun!

Read the posts. All of them say that they would be excited about new Star Wars material coming out IF Lucas doesn't direct them.

Do you like only plots like "let`s rescue the princess and destroy the Death Star"?
Just "rescue the princess" and a good director can make a great movie!
(a good director can make a good movie from allmost anything)
