You don't need a topic to announce your progression through pre-set member rankings. Making a thread for landmark post counts (ie: 1000+) is one thing, but no one cares about the text under your username changing. We can all see it change. You don't run through the streets screaming at the top of your lungs every time you beat a new level in a video game for those same reasons.
