That or

Han "I love you"

Leia "I know"

Why try to rehash that great moment again.

Actually, in the context of the action, that line was great as was the whole of ESB. A better choice would have been:

"Could you tell Luke, is that who you could tell?"

followed by the cringe-inducing:

"Hold me!"

Oh God, forgot about that. The acting was horrible there. You have a Harrison Ford who didnt want to be back and Carrie Fisher in a drug induced stupor.

At least we get some good lines and entertaining (but over the top) acting from the Emperor

I didn't think that the line was that bad.

Me neither.

The "Hold Me" one was a bit hammy though.

I don't really mind the Lando line so much but Leia's "Hold me" bit really gets me

Up through the first two movies Leia shows herself as an extremely strong woman and then all of a sudden she turns into a little girl that needs a man to hold her and tell her that everything is going to be all right. What happened to her strength? What happened to the girl that grabbed the gun, shot the stormtroopers and showed Luke and Han how it was done?

I am not crazy about the line either, but let’s face it, finding out that Darth Vader is your father is not ease to take.

especially as she had already met him...

and further more, that all the people around her; bail organa, mrs.organa, r2d2, antillies, etc. all would have known and kept it from her all those years...

Oh man, that's got to mess with her. Maybe they need to remove the smile in the final frame.

Although she Did grimace pretty bad when Luke told her. Not the scene I wanted, but I was getting used to it.

Thank you! I'm so tired of seeing women portrayed as always needing a man to "just hold her" when things get bad; particularly when it hadn't been in their character until that point. That also irked me about Padmé but at least the stupidity started in AotC and just got worse come RotS in her case.

The emporers lines were not over the top. In fact hes the best part in the movie. His lines are cool and his face looks real. hint hint to RotS

I disagree, I really like this line. There's a great "Oh Shit" look in Lando's face when he realises they could very well be boned.

exactly. He delivers that line perfectly to me, like "how the fuck did we play right into their hands"...it all just comes to him at once.

and yeah, Palps was spot on, defintely not over the top.

Exactly.

I agree though that "Hold me" was not necessary, but by contrast her reaction when she finds out she's Vader's daughter always surprises me with the fact it's not one of complete horror. And does Han ever find out that Vader is Luke and Leia's father?
