Thats because they're liberal americans, i'm proud to be a conservative AMERICAN and could care less what Canada thinks

That's the problem with you. You just don't care about the rest of the world. You don't stop to think that Canadians such as Mr. Salad (Boy that was fun to type) have feelings just as much as you do. What countries do you care about. I can probably generate a short list.

USA
United States of America
America
US
United States

The statement that you couldn't care less what Canada thinks is just insane. They are just as worthy a country as any the United States, possibly even more. Maybe I worry to much about what others think. Call me paranoid, it sounds like the type of thing you would do, but honestly, do you even think at all before you type? It seems to me that many of your arguments are not well backed at all. Not at all. For example, why do you not care about Canada?

Wow. I didn't know it was possible for me to flip out over the internet. But that just really pissed me off.

I am not Canadian, although I am a hockey fan, love their beer, and believe that they have the best strip clubs in the world.

Fien, he said you were. I assumed he had done some research. One shouldn't make arguments without research. I humbly retract that passage.

Well then let me tell you.
Because I am more concerned about the interests of America and our allies, in a nut shell.

Let me generate a short list for you.

us
england
japan
israel

Otherwise, yes I could care less

Ah. You don't care because they aren't directly allied. That's almost precisely my problem You are to self-centered. By the way, Why couldn't you respond to Civ2, but you could to me? An honest question. Oh, and Mr. Salad, who is Tom Cruise?

I'll try and answer for him. The problem with Civ2 is that you spend half your time arguing with him about his misquotations and the other half over the words he stuffed into your mouth, basically getting nowhere.

Hmmm. He's a famous actor and Scientologist who ripped apart a TV talking head newsman from NBC by the name of Matt Lauer who was commenting on psychotherapy and psychiatric drugs, without, as Cruise chastised him, doing research to back his arguments. Quite entertaining.

Oh. That's nice to know. Wow, the post I did was vehement. But really, I was pissed. If I was talking face to face, I would have yelled incoherently. And possibly whacked him over the head with a dull object. And I am not a violent person.

Possibly. But I wouldn't notice. I'd be too busy either being

A)Angry
B)Unconscious
or
C)Dead

See, if I was hit, I would get angrier, dulling the pain. Each hit takes more away from the pain. I tried this as an experiment. It works.

But seriously, let's get back on topic here.

Ham Salad- So are you saying that feminists or women in general have no right to be angry with her because she holds masculinity over her own gender? I don't think you have to be a militant dyke/feminist/clamsmacker,other silly term for empowered women to find that offensive.

I don't care if neanderthals wore fez hats and rode unicycles, the point still stands that the idea of male supremacy is neanderthal, and you can find the word in a dictionary if you don't understand the other meaning of it. I appologize to any surviving neanderthals for using their species name offensively.

QUOTE
OMG, every person on this board besides Renegade has created their own fantasy world full of academia idealism.

Yes, James, clearly our silly academic and literary learning is no match for what you learned last night on FOX5 news at ten.

As for the idea that working hard will make us super duper happy and rich, that's propaganda. Let me tell you about the capitalist's ideal worker, you already know the story, it's called the legend of John Henry.

Some guy wants to be the very best at his job (which the legend fails to mention likely pays him jack shit) and so he tries so hard that he falls over dead after completing his pointless menial labor. That's the betterment that capitalist society wants the proletariat to aspire to.

QUOTE
Capitalism does not need Socialism to succeed, just because the US gained steam with the fall of the USSR doesn't prove your point. Do you have any other contexts to back that up? No....

o...k...

QUOTE
And on a lighter note.... who doesn't like lesbians? They're hot!

ah, aren't you the epitome of the informed modern male. It's great to see that you accept minorities so readily. And you're right. Lesbians rock cuz they're all hot. And hey, without gays who would cut my hair? And if we didn't have black people we'd have a lot of uneaten watermellons sitting about.

Renegade- Ok ok you proved your point, it really IS the poor countries fault that they are poor. And for that reason we don't have to have any pity for them and can take whatever we want, cuz that's just their natural state. Just like Muslims would just be aimlessly blowing themselves up if America hadn't given them a target.

Civ- Oh I have no doubt that people in Canada suggest nuclear warfare, just I imagine that in Canada these people are nodded politely too and then told to go on their way, rather than being elected to important public offices...

Jordan- A lot of Americans, and I've seen this sentiment everywhere, consider Canada to be like Casablanca. It's where a lot of dissidents fled to in the sixties and it's starting again. You're going to see some of the best of America coming your way. And even if that wasnt the case you'd still get fairly educated people. The typical American conservative just wants to go to Washington, and, as has been stated here, could care less about Canada (or the rest of the world, seein as how they aint American) and so what you see is probably fairly well educated and intelligent people who actually realize there is a world outside the borders.

James- Damn straight, who cares what other countries think or say, ours is the only opinion that matters, and if they don't like it than they're clearly with the terrorists!

Renegade- We could have done a better job dismantling Al Qaida if we'd conducted an a surgical strike against them using delta force, rangers, navy seals, etc. Instead George Bush "went out tiger hunting with his elephant and gun, in case of accidents he always took his mom" and so now we have an even less stable Afghanistan, and the regions around it are less stable, and nothing has occured in the so-called war on terror except a dramatic increase in attacks.
