So it appears after seeing the last scene in ROTS again, that Luke gets to wear Owen Lar's duds before getting the lightsaber his father would have wanted him to have. Wonderful stuff. Maybe by overthing this one, we can give Lucas credit to harkening back to the "same duds, different character" at the end of Empire, where Lando makes use of Han's clothes, unless its Corellian clothing. Curse you again, Lucas! You can take that free ticket when you buy three this weekend and shove it you know where!

Well Luke it would appear also got to wear Anakin or Obi-Wan's hand me down Jedi Padawn uniform. This is the only reason I can think off why Luke seems to look so much like a Jedi in training when Ben and Vader get it on in A New Hope. Did you also check out the beakers when Beru serves a drink to Padme in ATOC, they are the EXACT same ones as are used in A New Hope. Who knew that the ancient galaxy far, far away, were the first planets to be concerned about saving their environment?

Who knew that there was so little money in moisture farming that your average Tatooinian family could not afford new crockery once every 30 years?!

As I suspected, once the Tupperware cult-guild gets ahold of you, they never let go.

Luke's a slave to fashion in ROTJ, coming up with his own black Jedi duds. Neither Obi Wan or Yoda have anything close, would have been nice to see him wear clothing styled after Obi Wan's traditional Jedi robe look and tell the Emperor that he missed offing them both.

Be careful what you ask for. CG could easily do that.

Maybe they don't throw away the tupperware, because it reminds them of the OT and they don't like change.

It probably never dawned on Luke that he needed a cape for his black outfit. That's why it's not a Sith uniform.
