No its you that doesent understand or respect the star wars universe. The stormtroopers rode on giant lizards in episode IV. Why have you failed to mention that? You and everyone else here take the hole damn movies to serious, there made to be fun and easy to watch. Its in another galaxy... nothing makes sense!!

Coruscant, an amazing show up of technology!
Like the Clone Army.
Like the Huge Starships and the Deathstars.(They can destroy whole planets!)
And the countless robot army.

Then...
Why the cheap hollograms?!! (ok, there were the 70's)
Why the need of an external robot-assistan (R2D2) On the Starfighters?
Or the external cellular phone for a Robot to use?
They doesn't know the notion of technology integration?
And the horrible cyborg-hand they put on Anakin!!
Integration again: Put a light saber IN the mechanical hand so it does't fall all the time!!!
And I can't even star to write about the so limited medical advances!
They can make clones but they can't cure skin burns! A mother die of sadness
giving childbirt? Call Sleabaganno(?) and give her some happy droug! She'll fell better for sure!)
And the surprise about the twins, etc., etc.
C'mone, If I'm a Governor in a rich planet just make a clone body and transplant mi concience in it endless!!
Heck! Anakin choose the Dark Side just bicouse of bad medicine!
If i want the power to cure my wife in a High Tech Universe (Not the Luca's one, of course) I go medicine or genetics, no monk-soldier!

At the end is all pointless when Lucas, just to make a baaad joke, make the head and body of C3PO interchangeable with everything. (Hey! taht's technology Integration!)

You're right! And luke in Ep.V, etc.
But isn't stupid? With all the machinery, why a Lizard or any untrustable living creature?
I could understand that a jedi, with the "connection" with the living things, can control any creature but the lizard in ROTS appears from nowere!
We never see any jedi learning to pilot a ship or to mount creatures, even to know computing (at least Windows), just te younglings watching teletubbies or whatever.

the point is that doesn't matter haw far that galaxy is, it should have its own logic or identity. The OT is an example (not perfect, but a reference)
This are not surrealistic films, but fantastic ones.

And you seems to take this very seriously considering the details you remember in ep.IV

not even slightly... there's nothing to take serious in these films...

the only thing fun and easy about these films is the ability to tear them apart in ways few films of such profile have allowed us...

sure there are a lots of blockbusters that suck, but we're attacking these ones...
why? because blockbusters shouldn't suck...

that's the whole point. people are being rewarded without effort.
and that shouldn't happen...

so when films come out that are insanley and undeservingly popular, i will be there to tear the living shit out of them!

it's all in good fun though thumbsup.gif

Welcome, showmethemoney. Another Argentinian.

I liked the point about the saber in the hand/arm. Worked with the action figure.

The Padme dying thing was some grab at an O.Henry twist ending. Oh Lucas, you card.

happy.gif Thank you for the welcome, who is the other argentinian?

About the topic: the air in Coruscant came from inside the head of Lucas, there is plenty there!
