One thing - Hayden-Anakin never wore that outfit - he always wore his "foreshadowing of evil" robes.

Still - the ultimate insult to David Prowse - first he gets diddled of his rightful role for Sebastian Shaw, then they whack out Shaw for some punk kid - the 3D version will probably have Ewan MacGregor and CGI Yoda. Then, they'll put in Darth Plagueis, Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu and the Jedi Council - then finally the spectral Greedo will walk up to Han and give him a hug out of rejoicing for having made Greedo one with the Force.

Really though, I was somewhat taken back with this scene at first, but after watching ROTS again I think it is correct.
Yes the platform scene is soppy and sentimental, but the point is its Anakin and Obi Wan’s good by scene, they never see each other again. So that is how Obi Wan and Yoda for that matter would remember Anakin (not as albino fish fry) and I imagine at some point Luke has also seen a likeness of his father.

I suppose if you accept that your force ghost image is that one that you have when you die. And you also accept Obi-Wan's suggestion that Anakin Skywalker died the moment he assumed fellatio position in front of the Emperor. Then it kind of makes sense to have Hayden's image as Anakin's ghost.

But he was brought back to the light side by Luke afterwords.. and then died for real. So he died the "second" time as a jedi knight.. so his force ghost image should be of him as he was at his "second" death, I think.

Agreed. If they use young Anakin then the entire fight on the Death Star II was pointless.

We must remember that these are spirits, they have no “actual appearance”. Since they are appearing to Luke in a vision (I don’t think any body else saw them) they would presumably take the form most meaningful to him. For Obi Wan and Yoda that would obviously be the form they had when they trained him. As for Anakin, Luke only knew him in life as albino fish fry, but had no doubt scene likeness of him when he was young and still had hair not to mention limbs, so that would be my choice.

Since he includedit, it would have made sense if all the Jedi were in the backround with Anakin (in whatever form would be most logical, the Hayden one doesn't make sense to me) Yoda, and Obi Wan, Mace, Qui Gon, and all the others crowding around, smaller and smaller off into the distance.

After all, the movie's title was RETURN OF THE (FUCKING) JEDI

But that would have cut down on the last dance number, where Ewok and Mon Calarmi could at long last rejoice and join hands. If I were a surviving Rebel pilot who was up there for what seems like forever, evading TIEs galore and trying to get out in time before the Death Star blew up, dancing would be the first thing I'd want to do upon landing.

Maybe the Ewoks had constructed Port-O-Potties galore on the forest moon.

I am not sure what you think Luke was up to when not on screen, but it seemed to me he was primarily concerned with rescuing Han, thwarting the empire, that sort of thing.
As far as the vision goes, it is Luke’s vision, why would any one Luke did not know be in it?

I know you were being sarcastic... but even the thought of removing Sir Alec Guiness makes me want to spew chunks !!! Damn him if he ever considered that !!!

I think I saw Han, Leia and Luke watching the ghosts at the end of the movie.
