Hey

Cool site, and I agree in almost all of your reasons.

But i reason #6 you write: Much the same way Luke throws a rock to try to hit a button in Return of the Jedi.

It is not a rock, it is in fact a skull.

Pleasantries

Heh, I never noticed that either. That's pretty cool. That brings the scene up a little more in my eyes actually, much like the skeleton you see when Vader has the lightning go through him. Great attention to detail.

Hello again...

In reason #25 you say that if Jar Jar was a Sullustan (Nien Nunb) or a Mon Calamari (Admiral Akbar). Both are aquatic type aliens that we would have been familiar with.

Sullustans come from a volcanic planet and live in dark and dry caves.

- #33 Greedo is a Rodian.

- #36 It is of course a loaded die, Watto's trying to cheat. That is why it is not a coin.

Episode II

- #57 If you notice the shadow on the arena floor when Jango is decapitatet, you will see that his head falls out of the helmet.

- #61 You have explained it yourself. None of them can beat the other by manipulating their surroudings or the force. So they fight it out.

Just some thing I noticed while reading.

...And remember, The Empire strikes back is the best movie in the world.

All hail General Maximillian Veers... He would have destroyed the rebels if it was not for the blasted luck of the rebels.

Erm, As your lawyer I suggest you state a "complicated satire that only the two of us understand" as your excuse, Elfy. And make a plea of insanity.

Is his first name really "Maximillian"? That's cool. . . he's perhaps my favorite character in "Empire Strikes Back". I'd always guessed his first name was "Thorstein" for some reason.

I don't know where you get that about Sullustans living in caves, but that's pretty stupid for a space-travelling species, wouldn't you think? Even if that does come from Lucasfilm, and not some random EU writer, then I put it to you that Lucasfilm is an idiot. I mean, who lives in a cave? These guys have spaceships, and they don't know how to develop land?

Those other two notes, about the loaded die and Veers's first name, are also not details from the actual films, and therefore speculation. Anyhow, Chef's comments about the die still hold. So this is a LOADED two-sided die, you say? Hmm... doesn't change the fact that a die with only two options is about the dumbest thing ever. Were you about to wager with someone and he pulled that thing out, and called it his "Chance Cube," wouldn't you proably call him on it? Even a simple "WTF?" would probably do.
"I had a lot of different ideas. At one point, Luke, Leia and Ben were all going to be little people, and we did screen tests to see if we could do that." -George Lucas, in STAR WARS: the Annotated Screenplays (p197).

But Chefelf's rant is so damn funny!!!! I want to see the head slide out, too. I forgive it just for the satire....

VWing- Can you get a screen cap of the skeleton picture? I think that might build my case against the Anakin=black knight thing.

A. Anderson - you are not working for European Commitee by any chance, are you? Judging from you nitpicking on the minutest details you might be a good canditdate for an Eurocrate.

Anyway, I am glad there are more and more Europeans here, welcome to the forum biggrin.gif

An EU expert it seems. With some interesting trivia no less.

"- #36 It is of course a loaded die, Watto's trying to cheat. That is why it is not a coin."

Very plausible, but it's not explained to the audience.

"- #57 If you notice the shadow on the arena floor when Jango is decapitatet, you will see that his head falls out of the helmet."

Really!?! Sounds very unlikely but I'll check it out.

"- #61 You have explained it yourself. None of them can beat the other by manipulating their surroudings or the force. So they fight it out."

Hmmm, I always thought lightsaber combat did exactly that. Deciding who is the stronger force-user. That a Jedis skill with the saber is directly linked to his control of the Force. Or should I say, linked to his Midichlorian count. yell.gif And that when a Jedi reaches Yodas level of mastery, a lightsaber is no longer needed.

...And remember, The Empire strikes back is the best movie in the world.

Amen to that. biggrin.gif And welcome aboard!

But coins can also be 'loaded', so it makes no difference.

Welcome to the forum, by the way.

The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

yeah, i always figured the greatest jedi would be so in tune with the force that they would be almost like Neo. Just brushing laser bolts aside and negating all forms off attack. oh well. I mean, Vader just stopped Han's shots with his hand. Isn't Yoda supposed to be even stronger than Vader?
