Regarding the PT, why do the Jedi keep saying this to one another? We know the force HAS to be with them - it has no choice, the midi-cholorian in their bloodstream has pre-determined this. Wouldn’t a better line have been “May the midi-cholorians in your bloodstream continue to be with you”?

Equally, if has Lucas continues to state that he had a back story to Star Wars in 1977 why then do the characters in Episodes 4-6 keep saying to each other “may the force be with you”? He must have known that the only characters with force potential in this trilogy are a very select few and that therefore the force can only be Luke, Leia, Yoda, Ben, Vader and The Emperor. A better line therefore might have gone something like this, “The force can only be with me because of those pesky midi-cholorians in my bloodstream, so hey you better take extra care”.

"May the midichlorians flow free with you" lol.

Yeah, I've brought this point up a couple times before and I either get ignored or it comes to some stupid response of:

"Just because you have a lot of midichlorians, doesn't mean you get a lot of Force."

Yeah, so what's the point of sampling the blood and finding out how many midichlorians if it doesn't translate into how much Force you can or cannot use?

We're going to get into another horrible Midichlorians discussion, aren't we?

If we do, I'll just link xenduck's old inconclusive argument thread in.

I think every midichlorian argument ends in a draw when both sides just get frustrated with each other so no midis argument here.

This is something that has annoyed me too. I was under the impression that any one in the OT could become a JEDI. I thought the FORCE was nothing more than the ability to manipulate life energy from other things (plants, people, heat, you name it)

This made sense to me since yoda goes on in ESB about how every thing is binded by the force.

I had always thought that, too, that the Force would even help those did NOT believe in the Force, and they would just call it a lucky break, a one-in-a-million-chance, what have you---people like Han, and Han has been luckier than any NON-Jedi, and I don't think he has a "bajillion" midichlorians.

There are no midichlorians. There were never meant to be midichlorians.

Remember... PT is EU... and EU sucks. biggrin.gif
