Paladin, the scene were he commits to Sidious is so rushed and poorly delivered that as the scene is playing before your eyes, you keep thinking, 'naaa, this is not happening, this is not how Vader joins the dark side".

And, although I may be a bit strange, that scene made me laugh to tears (which got me some wild glances from other fellow movie go-ers). I started laughing when Palpy got wrinkled, laughing harder in the "Don't kill me, I'm too weak!" thing (sounding like he lost his dentures, like someone already said), then when his "naming" Vader the stupid gloomy voice made it worst and then the BIG climax was when he asked Anakin if he'd swear this and that, and replied with a couple of "GoooooOOOOOooood!"

Those god-awful "GoooooOOOooOOOoood!" just made me burst out laughing.

Did you watch A New Hope, TESB and ROTJ?  The biggest, baddest villian in the galaxy, turned to the dark side to protect Padme?  Vader, was just a love sick fool?  Oh, the humanity, the humanity!!

WHY is this so hard for people to accept? I dont know how it is for everyone else, but when I was 20-21 I was in a relationship for a good 2 years with a girl I was madly in love with, and I swear I would have sacrificed everything in the galaxy to keep that girl by my side rather than lose her. Anyone who's really, truly been in love at that age knows exactly what I'm talking about. Now you gotta think, Anakin knew Padme for like 15 years! Kinda makes my situation seem insignificant by comparison. I'm not saying Anakin's actions are justified, all I'm saying is this is a totally valid reason for turning to the dark side. Youth and stupidity go hand in hand, we all should know that (unless you're under the age of 22). I dont know what kind of reasoning you would have preferred for Anakins turn, but I bought the "love sick fool" angle. It seems to me alot of people wanted Vader to be a bloodthirsty maniac with no regard for human life for 3 films.

Anakin`s turn wasn`t as horrible as some say but it could be better. The movie should be longer, transition after killing Mace is a bit too quick.

But his reasons were decent, first obsession over his love, than ambition and his belief in Palpatine`s ability to heal the galaxy.

I agree. But you have to realize, he already made the choice when he was in the Council chambers, when he and Padme were reading each other from across the buildings. There really was no point for deliberation after that, once he left in his ship that was it, he already knew was he was going to do.

Although it's disappointing to see so many people did not like ROTS, I just can't help but feel great about the fact that I found ROTS to be such an awesome movie.

I can't help but be bemused by this statement.

Yep, and whose 'GooooOOooOOOOoood', was being called upon? I didn't realise the Jedi or even the Siths had a 'GoooOOOOOOoooodddd'. Another blurring of fantasy boundaries by Mr Lucas me thinks.

.

Why yes, I would immediately trust the guy who ruled over a republic for 12 or 13 years without appearing to have the ability to end the corruption that upset him, and whom I had just found out had initiated the ‘civil’ war I had just fought in, to heal the wounds he had caused.

I would immediately trust a guy who told me he could introduce me to a gentleman called Dr Frankenstein who had found a way to prevent my beloved from dying, but who couldn't introduce me to said doctor because, wait for it, Dr Frankenstein couldn't prevent his own death because he died in his sleep.
