Anybody notice that Palpatine turned into lizard-man in about 14 seconds of film time. Between the beginning of the fight with Mace Windu, in which he dispatches Windu's life-size jedi cardboard cutout friends [in record time], and the part when he blasts him with lightning out the window, Palpatine appears to have aged about 452 years.

Maybe it was all that "dark energy" or whatever, but he used that lightning a lot in Episode 6, and he didn't turn into a bigger prune then. What gives?

And I couldn't help but laugh when he complains about being too old and weak. It sounded like he lost his dentures before he delivered that line!

Not according to a small part of a Star Wars novel I've read. I completely forget what it was called, but in the opening scene, they mentioned that Palpatine seemed almost mummified, but was not as old as he looks.

I guess you can say that the Dark side has it's way of turning people into hideous looking people.

I could be having a memory lapse...but wasnt the Force Lightning coming out of his hands, hitting Windu's lightsaber, and thus bouncing off and hitting him in the face?

Hmmm...I'll have to consult my bootleg.

Seriously!....Kit Fisto and the other Jedi die like a little bitch. That could be said about all of the Jedi that died in Ep. III. These were supposed to be gret warriors. Its almost embarrassing.

Then why doesn't it happen again in ROTJ?

Nope. I've discussed this point at length with my friend (BiggSpiffy, for those of you who remember), and we concluded that that's not it either cause it didn't happen to Luke in ROTJ. The best "explination" we could come up with is that Palpy wasn't good at using the lightnign yet, so it took a real drain on him.

The thing they want you to believe is that Mace "soon-to-be" Windy reflected the energy from his hands with the lightsaber, hitting him with it and making him wrinkly (not old, I think, just physically more disgusting) so that he would match the emperor from the next set of movies. Oh well. Who cares.
