On a slight tangent (only slight!), has anyone heard any of the new White Stripes album? And if so, is it worth getting at some point in the future?

I've had it kicking around (PERFECTLY LEGALLY, OF COURSE) for a couple of weeks now. So far, I'm not too impressed, but it is growing on me a little bit. It's not a very guitar-heavy album. So it's going to be love/hate with most fans. Needless to say, I don't think I'll be running out to grab it off of the shelves the day it's released.

That Explosions In The Sky album (I'm assuming that you're referring to "Those Who Tell The Truth Shall Die") is good.

Have you heard "Picaresque" yet, Emu? It's fantastic. My favourite Decemberists album so far. Of course, I haven't heard all of "Castaways And Cutouts" yet, but still...

(Or is it "Cutouts and Castaways"?)

(it's Castaways and Cutouts) Yes, I have heard Picaresque, and it is my favorite as well. It was actually the first album of theirs that I ever heard.
