I just picked up a copy of M-Flo's Astromantic.
I really didn't care for his first CD, Planet Shining, but I felt he really broke out in this album. Almost every song is a duet with another equally lovely artist, including Chemistry, Dragon Ash, and the exceedingly lovely BoA.
Since I picked up this CD last week, it has been the only thing on rotation in my car.

He's a guy who liked to write music and frequently hired musicians to play his music. There's a little FZ for everyone, but there's probably some that you'll hate to death (even i hate some of his junk). Just look him up on some P2P program - there's usually plenty to choose from. Be aware, though, because even 5 or so random songs may not provide a good... sampling of his wares.

Hecc, I think you'd love a web-radio site I've been listening too. It's filled with no-name garage bands from various decades. None of the music is top 40 and I'm almost postitive that half of them never pressed albums.

The University of Maryland also has a pretty kickin' radio station. You can hear live streams at http://www.wmucradio.com. They also archive their shows from the past three days.
On Sunday nights 6-9pm EST they have a live music show called Third Rail with some web-cam action.

Latest purchases (all at budget prices!):
Godflesh "Us and Them" CD--hard driving, droning, sometimes "acid drenched" guitars, with sinister vocals and breakbeats. Think early Swans, meets The Stooges, meets death metal, meets Aphex Twin. Quickly becoming one of my favorite bands. Definitely a must if you're into so-called heavy music. I've been raving about these folks on LJ recently, so pardon the repetition.
Cheap tapes in the bargain bin:
Public Enemy "It Takes A Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back"
Judas Priest "Living After Midnight"
(My collection is sadly lacking in rap/hip hop and metal so I need help in this area)
