Beastie Boys - "To The Burroughs"
The Lost Patrol - "Songs About Running Away"
With all due respect to Conor Oberst, fuck Bright Eyes. The Lost Patrol is my new favourite folky sad music.

QUOTE (Chyld @ Jul 23 2004, 09:53 AM)
Eyes Adrift "Eyes Adrift"

Finally, someone else who owns this record. It's a bit of an acquired taste, but I get some enjoyment out of it.

Eyes Adrift would have been amazing if the album was only about 30 minutes.

It has been a while..
Last 3:

The Walkmen "Bows & Arrows" is kind of good..

SnowPatrol (I don't remember what their CD is called) is also kind of good. I bought it for the sappy depressing lovish song 'Run' (Which happens to also be the name of one of my favorite Air songs.. and One of my Fav Pink Floyd songs.)

Faithless "No Roots" - YOU MUST LISTEN TO THE SONG "MASS DESTRUCTION" (Either the remix or the original.) Very well done. Very relavent to world afares.. and the remix has a beat you can dance to!

Charlie's Music - one of, if not THE best used cd/movie stores i've been to - had a '25% off everything' sale today, so you KNOW i'm going to take advantage of that!

Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf
Pizzicato Five - Made in USA
Primus - Tales from the Punchbowl
Lenny Bruce - Carnagie Hall Concert
Jimi Hendrix - Blue Wild Angel (2cd edition)
The Yarbirds - Ultimate!
Some orchestral cd that i don't feel like spelling out for you

DVD's
Woodstock
Serial Experiments Lain - vol. 3+4
"Nothing is real, all is permitted"
- Hassan i Sabbah
"There's nothing wrong with anything."

Incidently, I still haven't got round to listening to Eyes Adrift yet. Falling behind.

Recently purchased new and used CDs:

Yeah Yeah Yeahs "Fever to Tell" (on Hecc's recommendation, it rocks! Hard driving guitars and drums w/ growling female vocals. And some mighty brave lyrics to boot!)

Basehead "Play With Toys" (imagine if Aaron Neville joined a trip hop band. Some of the most heartfelt lyrics I've ever heard. Excellent stuff.)

Mudhoney "Here Comes the Sickness: The Best of the BBC Recordings"

$1 vinyl LPs (oldies but goodies):

Kate Bush "Hounds of Love"

Alan Parsons Project "The Turn of a Friendly Card"

Tom Tom Club (first album)
