I used to drink mountain dew like crazy..this was about 8 yrs ago. i was working overtime at my job raking in tons of cash and mtn dew was both a caffiene stimulant and an sugar rush energy supplement to me.
i drank mtn dew more than the average person, but then again, the average person doesnt drink mtn dew,..right?
i drank mtn dew up until the point i got a kidney stone. ..and it hurt like a bitch
the doctor took an x-ray and said the kidney stone was caused from crystalized sugars and/or calcification.
i knew immediately that moutain dew was the culprit
so, since january of 2000..i have not had a single drop of mtn dew...i wont touch the shit. ever
this is not to say that all soft drinks besides mountain dew are okay..because really and truly, all soft drinks are bad for you to some degree or another.
but mountain dew is one of the few soft drinks out there that has little to no carbonation...no fizzy sound when you open up a can or bottle. you can shake up a bottle of moutain dew really hard..and it wont explode when you open it....its due to the extremely high sugar content in mountain dew
if you were to spill some mountain dew on the dash board of your car on a hot summer day,.and spill another soft drink next to it...you would see that mtn dew would leave behind the stickier residue...always.
