I liked it. smile.gif

I really like more the Gungan battle than the battle of Endor and it had exciting moments like the duel, the battle of Naboo, and the Podrace. It also had good acting by Liam Neeson.

Cons:
-JAR JAR!
-MIDICHLORIANS!
-JAKE LLOYD!

i dont blame jake loyd, he was really good in other movies, its just lucasas fault. but they should have made anakin a little older, like instead of a slave, they should have made him a wandering rouge that had some powers with the force and qui gon and obi wan could have found him on tatooine. keep the podrace though.

Exactly. It would've been better if Anakin was 16 years old because it isn't beleivable that a 9 year old boy someday will marry a 16 year old girl.

I remeber when I first saw it I enjoyed, although I was still kind of a little kid so I couldent tell crap from non-crap.

I really enjoyed the final duel with Darth Maul, its on par with anything we see in ROTS.

Even though I was a little kid, I was still pissed that Anakin randomly flew a ship into space and somehow randomly blew up the main trade federation ship saving the gungans from being massacred.

of course, while i still enjoy the movie, i think it would have been cooler if they introduced a new character who blew up the control ship

No, we have enough to concentrate on with just Anikin. If he's older, he could blow it up himself, and it wouldn't be an accident.

That's what I meant when I said I hated Jake Lloyd. I mean he makes a decent job, but the thought of a kid winning a war by himself is just plain stupid.

That's like me picking up a kid off the street, packing him up in a box with some hand grenades, and sending him off to Iraq.

this film had all the potential in the world...

all the money in the world and the only franchise that seems to be alowed to use lightsabres....

and yet we got rastafrogs, a planet with a core of saltwater, and a very bloody long go-cart race...

i'll probably end up sitting through it again one day... but what a waste.

its not great, but it does have a kind of light touch thats almost entirely absent from childrens films these days. Its like a brainless popcorn movie with an interesting, dark undercurrent.

I like it. Not as much as the other 5, but I like it.

It wasn`t a masterpiece but I liked this beautiful light-hearted fairy-tale.

I really liked Watto and Neimodians contrary to some people.

I liked Watto as well. The idea that an unequivocal devotion to the pursuit of money makes him technically strong-minded enough to be immune to the Jedi mind tricks. Pretty good.

Still a terrible movie though!

I liked It when I first saw it. I was only 10-11 at the time and I thought it was fucking great. I think most fans of the classic trilogy should take into account that when they first saw episode IV they too will have probably been kids and enjoyed it a whole lot. What if things were reversed and it was episode I that you first saw at a young age? I watched Episode I much more than I did eps IV through VI, because I thought they were too out dated, and lacked the action of I. Looking back I can see it from a different perspective, and see that it's nothing too special and it's the classic trilogy that is the better set of movies with better stories and characters. But I can still watch episode I with a taste of childhood. And besides that lightsaber fight is awesome.

Same with me except that my liking of it didn't carry over to umm.... not-childhood?
