Of course this is all EU. It was pretty sloppy that it wasn't mentioned in ROTS.

Syfo Dias is explained in full in the book Lybrinth Nightmare or something like that. It's around chapter 5 ot 6 I think, in a discussion between Obi-Wan and Yoda in the Jedi Temple.
Who cares about the dman books?
I'm watching a movie here, not going to college for this crap.

exactly...
lucas' writing ability must seriously be called into question if one must rely on a 3season cartoon and various novels to understand the circumstance of his films...
that's fucking poor...

Labyrinth of Evil is indeed the book that ties up the plot hole that is Sifo Dyas. However, I do remember Lucas originally naming the character Sido Dyas. He later changed it, feeling that that name might be "too obvious" if I remember correctly. Much the same way he changed the Kaminoan Saber Dart from Kyber Dart (a much cooler name imo) I guess he just didn't like the sound of the name.
Anyway, there it is. Yay, my first post!

Yup, another great mystery "cleared up" and set in stone in a crappy fashion by an EU novel/guide tie-in.
Sifo Dyas, rather than just being a fake ID (of a dead guy) that Count Dooku used
to purchase the clone army, there really was a guy by that name that really was duped to buy it, and then really was killed to keep him from talking or something.
That and this "Darth Plagueis" really existed, and really was Sideous's master.
I can't wait for some source to actually state the Darth Plaugeis created Anakin with the midichlorians, rather than just leaving it as a come-on that Palpatine was baiting Anakin with.
*puts on Vader suit* NoooOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

The Jedi prove themselves to be just about the dumbest beings in the universe but even that pack of dimwits would probably have remembered that Palpatine was on the Jedi Council.
