Again, I cannot believe that writers for a computr game captured the spirit of Jedi order better than the creator of the whole idea.
I love the baby expressions. I was wondering how are you going to cope with this scene, it has such a potential for parody (in fact much better than the famouns "NOOO" which is a standing internet joke now), and I was not disappointed.

the reason the Jedi allowed him to stay on the Council after that lil outburst was because they needed to use him.....in the scene directly before this, Palps tells Anakin "they need you Anakin; more than you know". He knew what they were doing to him. The Jedi were assholes. They deserved to die.

May I?
I am afraid your view is rather simplistic.
The Wookies are fiercely territorial in defending their home world. The fact that another army shows up and says “we are on your side” would not necessarily fly, unless there was some one with them that they trusted.
Yoda is there to keep things from becoming a free for all.

Well, that's why I put it in quotes, because I'm making a loose comparison. I was referring to the main character's descent into despair, anger, and feelings of revenge. I felt that everything about the character's transformation in Batman Begins was handled far better than Anakin's own change of heart and really drew me in the way Episode 3 failed to. I was disappointed that I couldn't empathize with Anakin's betrayal of the Jedi. The only reason I'm making the comparison to that particular movie is that it is the next one I saw.
And actually, I don't think the problem was as much with Hayden's acting as some do - I agree with Neal Stephenson, who pointed out that he had an almost impossible job with this role, considering the lines they gave him and the plot he had to work within. I've tried to imagine other actors saying those lines well, and they look just as goofy.
I just included the bad dreams line 'cause I thought it was funny, but didn't he wake up in the middle of the night from a dream of Padme dying?

Bullshit, Melkor, there are plenty of young fans who prefer the OT over the PT, so that doesn't fly. You'll even find a few of them here....
By the way, there are major mistakes in those new ones. This Jedi Code you mentioned is not canon, and force is not in balance because of Sith, GL said so.
If Lucas doesn't mention it within the context of his own freakin' films, then we can extrapolate whatever crap we want out of it, just like you do...

Battle for the Galaxy--read the "other Star Wars"
All I know is I haven't seen the real prequels yet.

And your reasons are still funny, by the way! Give me more.

A thought, if you are right and the force is not in balance because of the Sith and GL's say so, why does Mace refuse to believe that the Sith have returned in Phantom Menace? Wouldn't the chosen one's very existence (Anakin) indicate that the Sith have indeed returned and that Mace, Yoda and all of the other Jedi would be well aware of this?
Doesn't the Jedi Council's refusal then to train Anakin regardless of how old he is, appear particularly stupid given that they just might want to train a chosen one who is going to get rid of those nasty Sith for them. At the very least they might have wanted to give him a few a handy hints and tips to help him on his way.

'Whenever I use the force to levitate something it starts to drift off towards my left hand side.'
'Sounds to me like you need your force balancing. It's gonna be an expensive job though, there's only one guy in the galaxy who can do it.'

The prophecy is stupid for other reasons. Prior to episode 1, the Sith were small in numbers and compeltely unnoticed. The force and the Jedi seemed to be at peace. Why are they awaiting for balance if their is no problem. And would this balance put an end to evil Jedi for ever? No, expanded EU tells us that Sith still lurked about even during LUKE's reign.
IT's silly and stupid.

And premonitions are not bad dreams! How many times will I repeat this?
Lord Melkor, please! Surrender to the fun...
Or you are gonna keep repeating things for eternity!
The weeknes of this films is exactly our fount of fun! And this problem is that they are soo lousy that anybody can asume anything! Nothing is for sure!
Why loose time defending them when you can laft instead of cry?
At this time you know that a good movie -even with flaws- defend itself, obviously this is not the case.
So, maybe you can succesfull defend some points, but then, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE.
There MUST be something you dislike about the prequels even if you like them, BRING THEM ON!
Don't you see everybody here is mocking the prequels? Let the jedi clothes outside for a moment and join us!
remember we are all FANS of the IDEA, like you, who make fun of the PT as a way
to accept what happens.
Nobody cares if you or me like or not the new ones, we want ERRORS, HOLES, NONSENSE! There is not? (C'mon, look at the size of this posts!) So invent some! -this is irony, of course, but i'm soo bad with english that i need to remark it-
Or just play with the infinites post about them.

Honestly, I liked the trailers of ROTS more, I almost loved them, actual film disappointed me a bit, but was still very entertaining.
When I was a kid, and felt much happier than now, I loved cartoons like Smurfs. I didn`t care about plotholes. When I saw TPM, I felt this childish innocence once again, mixed with great effects and visual imagination. I knew it isn`t better plot-wise that your average EU book, but I have read and liked many of them. Is there anything wrong with this aproach?

Well, sometimes it looks that you are not too disapointed with the PT
and that amaze me.
don't forget that a great number of the angry people here are fans or liked the OT
who keeped great hopes for the new movies. if we want the childish innocense there is plenty in TV, and a lot better in quality, just think in the Clones cartoon.
I'm feeling that childish innocense here in Chefelf a lot better!
We can`t conform with this "funny" PT films!
They are not funny or entetaining to US (maybe there are now, as the Ed Wood movies).
The PT is a Slap in our faces.
So WE SLAP BACK! (like if Lucas care...)
And the smurf doesn,t have plotholes! And SW are not the smurf!
Smurf are good writing, read the comic-books, they atre great!
